02 Dec 2008
Deportivo already traveled to Poland in order to face the UEFA match against Lech Poznan (Thursday 20h45 CET) . Lotina will continue with his policy of rotations and will rest some players for the liga game with Malaga. More precisely, Manuel Pablo and Juan Rodr?guez, players that weren’t called for the trip. It also seems that Verd?? won’t be a starter.

Lotina’s Depor is already concentrated at hotel Novotel Poznan Centrum in Poznan, Poland. The squad traveled on Tuesday’s afternoon and will train today at the Miejski Stadium (19h00 CET). Lotina build up his list of called players based in his policy of rotations, that’s why Manuel Pablo and Juan Rodr?guez weren’t taken in the trip as they will be rested for Sunday’s game against Malaga CF.

During the last training at Abegondo, Lotina tested Adri??n L??pez â€?Piscuâ€? at the right-back position while it seems that Canadian Julian De Guzm??n will return to the starting lineup after surpassing his thigh injury. Another expected rotations are the ones of Z?© Castro and Joan Verd?? Players that were starters last Sunday against Almeria and that might be on the bench in Poland. Their places could be taken by Argentine Diego Colotto and Canarian Juan Carlos Valer??n.

In this way, and before the last training in Poland, the expected lineup for the game is the one conformed by Aranzubia at the goal, Piscu at the right back position, Filipe Luis at the left side, the couple Colotto-Lopo at the centre of the defence, the duo De Guzm??n-Sergio in midfield, Angel Lafita at the right wing, Guardado at the left spot, Valer??n performing as the playmaker of the formation and Riki as the lonely striker.

Before taking the plane, Miguel Angel Lotina talked at Abegondo about what he expects from Lech Poznan This is a solid team. On Sunday they reached the first place in the Polish league. They eliminated Austria Wien during the previous round and they look interesting. They have important things up front, besides to several foreigners. Their stadium is usually full when they play there, always with a great environment. It’s a rival to notice. I believe we will play with a cold temperature, but with the weather on here, we are prepared. It would be a warm match. They are hopeful about the UEFA

Later the Basque appointed that a strong mentality is the key for the game We must go out really focused since the first minute, because things could become complicated for us in order to qualify. We must think of a win, first because is our habit and later because we can still be the first place in the group and face a third place in the next round. We need two ideas for the game: to know how we should play and the attitude. Later a lot of things can happen over the grass, but we must have that on mind.

About the starting squad for the game, Lotina didn’t t mention any name, but he assured that he will â€?squeeze’ Guardado and that the Mexican won’t be part of the rotations, while he opened a door to Omar Bravo for this game. Depor’s coach also explained why Juan Rodr?guez and Manuel Pablo aren’t part of the list â€?They are staying because they are resting. They have accumulated a strong number of games, and I consider that they should stay having a specific work of recovery.â€?
