Third confrontation between Miguel Angel Lotina and Antonio Tapia, Depor’s coach has won the previous two games. The Basque is worried because he sees that his team is tired and ask for the support from the fans. Meanwhile the Andalusian is aware that Depor is a complicate rival, but he’s also hopeful about the chances of his team.

Antonio Tapia Flores is an Andalusian coach that had a short career as a player, he performed with the B squad of Malaga (called Atl?tico Malague?o in the 70’s). He started his career as a coach in 1986 and this is his second stage at Malaga. He was the manager of Malaga B between the years 2002 and 2005, later he took the job at the first squad after Gregorio Manzano was sacked for the Primera season 2005/2006. He was replaced by Manolo Hierro and for the present campaign he has signed in order to lead the new project of Malaga.

This is the third confrontation between Antonio Tapia and Miguel Angel Lotina playing for Primera Divisi??n. The other two meetings occurred on the season 2005/2006 when Lotina was working at RCD Espanyol and Tapia was fulfilling his first stage at Malaga. Both confrontations were won by Lotina as his Espanyol won 2-1 at La Rosaleda (matchday 02) and 3-1 at Montjuic (matchday 20).

Depor’s coach talked at Abegondo’s press room after Saturday’s training. He confessed that his main concern at this moment is the tireness at his squad "I am quite concerned because we are tired, I had seen a thick squad, it lacks spark. I want to ask the fans to encourage and push us, tomorrow we need them more than ever, it is going to be critical.?

And it’s that Lotina sees Malaga as a dangerous rival ?Malaga is a complicate team, very complicated, they are fulfilling a great season. They are doing the right things and seeing our current situation… it’s an important task for us.?  He was also asked about the presence of national coach Vicente del Bosque at the Riazor, this in order to watch the evolution of Depor’s players ?I believe that to be dreaming is something important, it should have a positive effect in the players, it should help us to improve.?

Another thing asked to the Basque coach was the presence of Mista in the lineup and the absence of Omar Bravo, the response was: ?Mista has a way to play, he likes to receive the ball at the back. He’s fulfilling an uncomfortable function holding the ball up front. I am happy with him, people would say that he isn’t scoring goals, but he’s bringing other stuff. Omar is a good professional and he’s ready to enter. He’s hurt because he’s not playing and you can notice it. For any coach is tough to leave somebody out, that’s the toughest decision you can take. I heard everybody and then I decide.?

Finally Lotina talked about his renewal at Deportivo, something that some newspapers are giving as granted ?We will have a meeting with the president before Christmas, that’s for sure, there are a lot of things to be discussed. But I am not rushed for it.?

Malaga’s coach talked with reporters before the trip to La Coru?a. He was warning about the potential of Deportivo ?It’s a rival that’s living a great moment, but we are going with a lot of morale, because we are at a great level too.? He also discarded that Depor would be affected since it played the UEFA Cup on Thursday ?It won’t be affected because the normal thing is to see them reserving players for the game, they have plenty quality players and in attack they are strong.?

The Andalusian trainer also had a few words for Juan Rodr?guez, player that he met not only at Malaga, but also at Malaga B ?He was part of the B squad with me and I have good memories of him. Same feelings that I have with the other players that took part of that squad.?

He didn’t give importance to the fact that Adri??n won’t be part of the squad due to contract reasons ?We will follow the same line of work no matter the players that will perform.? While he insisted again about the good moment lived by his team ?We have given a very important step forward, now we face a game that won’t be easy. The team is feeling freely and we are hopeful about keep adding.?

Finally, Tapia denied that his team will feel distracted for the scandal of corruption surrounding Malaga ?We are focused in La Coru?a and the rest isn’t worrying us at all. The players are mature. We don’t give importance to this at the locker room. To see people talking about the subject is part of our culture, we won’t change it, but it is true I am upset for it. But I think this issue will only unite us more closely.?
