The squad started on Wednesday the preparations of the game against Valladolid, the novelties were the returns of Bodipo and Antonio Tom??s, while Lopo hasn’t been able to train due to a muscular problem. At Valladolid, the squad is affected by the injuries of Asenjo, Baraja and Rubio.

Deportivo seeks to prolong its good moment with a new victory at the Jos? Zorrilla (Sunday, 17h00). Result that will open a hole of at least six points with the eight spot in the table and that could open the doors to the European places. With this in mind, the squad started to train on Wednesday after spending two days of vacation. The novelties during Wednesday and Thursday were marked by the presence of Rodolfo Bodipo and Antonio Tom??s on the sessions. They already surpassed their injury cases, but it seems too soon for them and probably they won’t take part of the game at Valladolid.

Who hasn’t trained yet during the week is Albert Lopo, the Catalan is suffering a muscular injury (quadriceps) and the doctors don’t want to take risks, though they believe the defender should be ready for Sunday’s match. Other player with problems was central defender Adri??n L??pez ?Piscu’ (gastroenteritis), the Galician didn’t train on Wednesday, but on Thursday he was already fine.

Coach Miguel Angel Lotina hasn’t tested any lineup yet, he will probably test the possible formation on today’s training and also on the last session before the trip to Valladolid (Saturday on the morning). On Wednesday the Basque manager talked with reporters and explained that his main worry is all the attention that Deportivo is receiving due to his solid moment on the season ?I don’t want to sell the skin of the bear before haunting it.  This week there has been too much noise. I like to be quiet, without seeing people talking about you.?

?But on this week we have been lucky, with the issue of (Real) Madrid, because they will talk of Schuster. I like this moves in other teams, because now we can pass without been noticed. Let’s see if quiet, we can reach the farthest place.? Lotina concluded.

Depor’s coach also explained what he wants from his Depor since this point and until the end of the year ?We want to stay there. Now we are facing very important matches and we will try to keep the line. Let’s see if we are capable and leave content to the vacations period. What the team needs is to realise that the struggle on the pitch, the concentration, the work and the perseverance is what has took us here. I want a team that’s 90% struggle and the other 10% talent. Why? Because that 10% of talent, when you also have struggle and perseverance, appears much more at any moment.?

At Valladolid, meanwhile, things have been complicated due to the injuries. Goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo is out for three months after a knee surgery, while his substitute, Justo Villar, is not at 100% after suffering a muscular contracture in the last game against Osasuna (3-3). To make things worse, midfielder Javier Baraja suffered an ankle sprain during Wednesday’s  training, reason why he will be out of action for two or three weeks. Besides, ?lvaro Rubio is doubtful due to an abductor problem.
