Deportivo starts 2008 with the big task of facing the biggest rivals in la liga, but also with the tough mission of eliminating Sevilla in Copa Del Rey. The first leg of that series will be played on Wednesday. For the moment all eyes all over the clash with Getafe.

The squad resumed the trainings on Friday after the pause due the New Year’s Eve. Lotina arranged a training session of almost two hours in which the players practiced set pieces (free-kicks and corner-kicks). Mista didn’t end the session and it’s already know that he won’t be ready to travel to the Alfonso P?©rez coliseum, this due to his abductor problem. But it was confirmed that Albert Lopo (muscular) and Joan Verd?? (knee) are fit enough to play.

Lotina didn’t give any clue about the lineup that he will use for the match against Getafe, it isn’t discarded that he will try to use some rotations taking in mind that the Copa series against Sevilla kicks-off on the next Wednesday (21h00 CET at the S??nchez Pizju??n). It won’t be the only time on that week in which the Galicians will face the Andalusians, actually they will meet twice again in the following seven days, first in liga on the next Saturday (20h00 CET), and then on Wednesday 14th January at the Riazor (Copa 2nd-leg, 20h00 CET).

These three in a row confrontations against Sevilla starts a tough month for Depor, a task that will include the visits to Barcelona, Real Madrid and that will end with the match against Villarreal at the start of February. But before all this, Depor must face Getafe on this weekend, rival that’s also chasing a European spot. So far, coach V?ctor Mu?±oz has confirmed that Javier Casquero is fit enough to play on Sunday, while he already discarded Joffre Guerr??n who hasn’t returned yet from his vacations in South America.
