Discrete participation for Deporís international players though their teams achieved good results. Only Guardado saw action as he played for twenty-one minutes against Costa Rica. Meanwhile, Spain won at the Riazor.

Mexico gave a huge step forward in the road to South Africa 2010 as it defeated Costa Rica in San Josť with a stunning 3-0 score. The figure of the game was Giovani dos Santos, midfielder who has been linked with Depor as a possible substitute for Angel Lafita. The ex-Barcelona gave two assists and scored a wonderful goal that led to the victory.

The surprise was that Andrťs Guardado wasnít a starter in the game, he entered at minute 69 and three minutes later scored the third goal after a fast counterattack started by himself.  Deporís winger had another chance to score through a free-kick that he sent over the crossbar.

Mexico is now third in CONCACAFís final stage series; the Mexicans are just one point below the leaders USA and Honduras. In order to qualify, the Mexicans will need to pick up six of the nine points still in dispute; the important thing is that two of those three matches will be played at Estadio Azteca, starting with the visit of Honduras on Wednesday.

Another national team with a great result was Brazil; the Brazilians defeated Argentina in Rosario (3-1) and already clinched a ticket to the World Cup. Filipe Luis saw the game from the outside, because coach Dunga still preferring Andre Santos for the left-back position. However Deporís defender may see some action on Wednesday during the visit of Chile to Brazil, this since his squad is already qualified.

The third Deporís player in international duty is Ze Castro, though he didnít took part during the draw between Portugal and Denmark in Copenhagen (1-1). Portugalís chances to qualify are now more remote, because they are now fourth in Group 1 with ten points, seven behind the leader Denmark and three below Hungary, team that lost with Sweden at home (1-2). With three games remaining in the calendar, Portugal will need a little miracle to qualify, on Wednesday they visit Hungary at Budapest, key match that could condemn them or increase their chances to qualify.

Also, Lassad was called for the important game between Tunisia and Nigeria, but he stayed in La CoruŮa for precaution reason (muscular injury). Anyhow, his national team achieved an important 2-2 draw in Abuja. Now, with two games remaining in the schedule, Tunisia has an advantage of two points over Nigeria, they will qualify to the World Cup if they bet Kenya at home on October 10 and if Nigeria fails against Mozambique.

Finally, the Riazor witness a huge party as Spain defeated Belgium with an impressive 5-0 score, the goals were scored by David Silva, David Villa (both with 2) and Pique, now Spain in just one of three teams in Europe that has won all the matches disputed and itís virtually qualified for South Africa 2010.
