V?ctor S??nchez del Amo has been fighting for a place amongst the best players in Europe during the last decade. If he plays against Barcelona it will be his 200th game wearing the Deportivo shirt and the 300th in Primera. Only Enrique Romero surpasses this mark in the current squad.

V?ctor talked with newspaper La Voz and summarised his career during the last ten years, he's specially happy for the friends that he has made so far: "You have to be thankfull to the squad, because titles are achieved together, it isn't a personal achievement. I won every title possible, but the most important thing for me are the friends I met and the memories that this sport has left me."

The Madrilian winger has spent his career in three teams, first he played with Real Madrid where he learned to have a winning mentality as he explained: "Since early you learn to be a winner. You grow up with that. But sometimes you end frustrated because the team isn't capable of reaching the results, that's the winning mentality. If you obtain it since you are a kid, you can't throw it away so easily."

Later V?ctor decided to leave for Racing Santander, a move that for him was necessary in order to obtain experience: "It was a personal bet of a young player that didn't want to conform with the simple fact of being in the best team in the world. I believed that my career was in danger since I needed some experience. For that reason I took the decision of leaving to a humble club in order to grow as a football player."

Finally he arrived at Depor where he found a place in a new project that he describes as successful: "In Depor I participated in a plan that was just starting to run. A team that had as a base a solid block of Spanish players, a wonderful group of men and I am proud to be part of this group, we had a lot of successful seasons, historic ones for the club."

To end the conversation V?ctor gave his wish for Saturday: "I hope that we will be able to win the match against Barcelona. It will be the perfect celebration for a very special day. A victory in a tough stadium against the favourite team." If V?ctor plays in Camp Nou it will be his 200th game with Depor and the 300th in Primera. The Madrilian is the eighth Deportivo player with more games in Primera and in the current squad is only surpassed by Enrique Romero (211).
