It seems that Lotina will keep a similar formation compared to the squad that drew with Sporting, though he must first check the condition of Guardado and Lassad. Meanwhile Getafe has the casualty of right-back defender David Cortés.

Coach Miguel Angel Lotina hasn’t tested yet any specific lineup for Saturday’s game (18h00 CET), but his comments in public have given more clues than the work done on the pitch. Because on Tuesday the Basque manager told to reporters that he plans to keep the couple Sergio-Antonio Tomás in midfield plus Juan Rodriguez on the right wing.

“He (Juan Rodriguez) has been playing on the right wing, that’s the place where we’ve been making a few changes; Juan isn’t at the same level of the past year, that’s why I’m keeping the couple Sergio-Antonio Tomás at the centre, but he can contribute with some things up front. On Sunday he was at every play. Until he matches his normal level, he will keep playing there, and I am content with the couple at midfield.” Lotina said on Tuesday.

Later, on Wednesday, the coach responded some questions at the chartroom of newspaper La Voz de Galicia, RCDLC.com had the opportunity to ask if he was thinking in introducing changes into the lineup, but Lotina responded with a joke, “No Michel (Getafe’s coach), we are not thinking in any modification.”

All of this means that the coach could be thinking in keeping the 4-2-3-1 figure that drew with Sporting Gijón on the past Sunday (Aranzubia - Manuel Pablo, Colotto, Lopo, Filipe - Sergio, Antonio Tomás - Juan Rodríguez, Lassad, Guardado – Riki). Tough he currently has two doubts, first Andrés Guardado, the Mexican winger skipped Tuesday’s training due to a muscular problem and only completed part of Wednesday’s session due to a hamstring pull, though the doctors say that he should be fine for the match.

The other doubt is Lassad Nouioui, the Tunisian was working at the top on Tuesday, but missed Wednesday’s first training due to flu. But in the second session that took place in the afternoon the striker joined the physical work done at the Zona Fit gym (Riazor), therefore he could be fit for Saturday. Who is already discarded for the match is Juca, the Brazilian midfielder keeps training at the gym and he could join the team on the next week, though first he has to pass new scans to determine the evolution of his thigh injury.

After Wednesday’s session, Riki talked to reporters; the ex-Getafe was saying that he is not obsessed with his tally of goals (he has scored two on this season), “The situation would be worse if I wouldn’t be having opportunities during the games or if my presence on the pitch wouldn’t be noticed. The other day I hit the post twice and there’s nothing we can do about it. The important thing is to create opportunities, sooner or later the ball will enter, so we can’t be obsessed.”

“I have plenty confidence in myself and try to demonstrate it on the pitch. Some days things will be better, others don’t, but I can play as against Sporting in more opportunities. The confidence is also important and for now things are fine, we can not surrender.” The striker added.

At Getafe, right-back defender David Cortés has suffered a muscular injury that will keep him out of action for ten days, meaning that he will miss the clash with Deportivo. The team has been criticised by the media and the fans after losing against Real Madrid despite having one more man on the pitch. On Tuesday it was possible to see coach Michel screaming to his players during the training “It’s time to wake up!”
