DUSCHER’S SITUATION

22 Nov 2005
Eugenio Botas, the same agent who negotiated the transfers of Luque and Pandiani, has traveled to England to learn firsthand which Premiership clubs are interested in Duscher. It has also been reported that Botas is trying to find a new club for C?©sar.

As deportivo-la-coruna.com reported on Tuesday, Botas was present for the victory against Racing at El Sardinero. The agent admitted after the match that there are several Premiership clubs interested in the Argentine midfielder: "Duscher is an interesting player for any club in the world, not only for the English ones. I won't name any names, but it's true that there's a lot of interest from England."

But the truth is that the names of these clubs are already known: Newcastle United, Manchester United, Aston Villa and West Ham. The Magpies were ready to pay €8 million, but Lendoiro’s high expectations (€14 million) curbed their enthusiasm. Sports paper AS reported a few weeks ago that Manchester United offered the same amount as Newcastle, but Lendoiro’s response was the same.

Joaqu?n Caparr??s trusts in Duscher.  In fact, he has been a regular starter during the present season. For that reason, the Sevillan coach affirmed last week that he's sure the Argentine won't leave Depor in January. Lendoiro is aware of Caparr??s’ wishes and that's why he will only let Duscher go for a big offer. After all, Depor's president has fulfilled his objective for the current season of reducing the club's debt by €30 million.

Meanwhile, Botas is also trying to find a home for C?©sar. The defender doesn't count for Caparr??s and his exit has been made easier since Lendoiro hasn’t put up too many obstacles. It has been reported that Tottenham Hotspur might be interested in the Asturian player.
