Fourth 1-0 victory for Fabril on the season; Diego Vela was now the best player and led to a new triumph that’s leaving Deportivo B at the top of the Galician group in Tercera División.

Tito Ramallo had the casualties of Diego Vieytes and Karl for injury reasons, also David Añon and Juan Dominguez, this last duo was with the first squad for the game against Athletic Bilbao. In the end the 4-2-3-1 lineup was the same one that defeated Negreira on the past weekend, with the only novelty of Diego Vela replacing Añon at the right wing.

Marcos Valín was at the goal; Diego Seoane was playing at the right-back position, and Jonathan Valle played on the left side. The central defenders were Castillo and Rochela. Héctor and Dani were the two pivotes on the formation, once again Chirri played at the left-wing, Vela on the right, Luis Angel was the playmaker and Hugo Garcia the central attacker.

Pontevedra-based club Vilalonga came with Juan Manuel Sineiro ‘Machu’ as the main reference in attack, the ex-Celtiga striker was having a back problem, but was fit enough to play; he was joined by Saúl Torres, while attacker Miguel Abal started sited on the bench. It was a 4-3-3 formation prepared by coach Gabi Leis.

It was an equal match between two sides that sought the victory since the first minutes and that was decided by the individual quality of Fabril’s players. If in the past game with Negreira the hero was Hugo García, in this opportunity the main factor to clinch the points was Diego Viela, the right winger was the most dangerous man for Deportivo B as he assisted in the play of the first goal and later having three opportunities to increase the lead.

The first attempt to score form the locals came at minute 2, Luis Angel assisted Hugo Garcia and then the striker eluded visiting keeper Roberto Pazos, but a defender cleared the danger from the goal line. Then Vela appeared, the winger gave a lot of problems to the rivals thanks to his velocity, and it was this virtue the main factor that allowed the lonely goal in the game. It was at the start of the first half as the 18-year-old player ran on the right wing to end sending a precise cross that Luis Angel found at the penalty spot, the ex-Vecindario didn’t miss the target and drilled the ball to the fart post of Pazos. It is his seventh goal of the season.

A few minutes later the same Luis Angel was close to reply through a direct free-kick that passed close to the post. But Vilalonga was also dangerous, especially through Machu, who had a clear attempt with a header that went over the crossbar, also in a fast play in which he faced Marcos Valín one-on-one at the edge of the area, Fabril’s keeper committed a foul over the striker and could have been sent off, but referee Bodaño Fernández didn’t even whistled the foul.

After the break, Fabril had the best opportunities as it had countless occasions to increase the lead, but Vela missed the target in three opportunities, the most dangerous one was a crossed shot that passed near to the far post, later Chirri did the same after receiving an assist from Luis Angel. But the most clear occasion was for Cristian Valle, the Catalan left-back hit the post with a shot from the edge of the area (83’).

Since minute 67, Fabril was playing with a 4-4-2 scheme as striker Joshua Corrales replaced Luis Angel, but the draw only lasted eleven minutes as Juan Carlos took the role of playmaker after replacing Hugo Garcia, the last change was the entry of Raúl Garcia for Chirri, he started to play as a left-back, while Cristian Valle advanced his position to the left wing.

And as it has been usual on the season, Depor suffered within the last minutes, especially in the stoppage time after Valle was sent off with two yellow cards (90+1’). The best occasion for the visitors was for defender David Sarró as he found the ball inside the area after a series of rebounds, but Valín made the save

New 1-0 win for Fabril at Tercera División (the fourth on the season); once again the team coached by Ramallo had clear occasions to score several goals, but only capitalised one, reason why the team suffered in the final minutes. The figure this time was Vela, who gave a lot of troubles with his velocity and who assisted Luis Angel for the goal. Now Depor is the new leader of the Galician group thanks to the home draw of Cerceda against Celtiga (2-2). Now the team visits 10th place Cultural Area at the A Lomba stadium

Comments of Tito Ramallo: ”We fulfilled the expectations, because both teams went out for the game. Our first twenty five minutes were pretty good, playing fast, combining and creating scoring opportunities. In the second half we changed the scenery and were more delayed, playing on counterattacks, but I think that we missed to seize our opportunities; that’s the reason why things were so tight in the end. Anyhow the team keeps growing thanks to matches like this one.”
