LOTINA WILL KEEP THE LINEUP

05 Mar 2010
Coach Lotina is thinking in using the same lineup that lost at Villarreal, with the only novelty of Lopo, who is returning from suspension. Lassad will probably stay out of the list for the game, but Mista will return.

Against CD Tenerife Miguel Angel Lotina won’t make too many changes to the starting eleven that lost against Villarreal on the past Sunday. The only planned modification is the return of Albert Lopo, who is returning from suspension in order to join Diego Colotto at the centre of the defence.

Manuel Pablo will keep performing at the right-back position, while Laure will be once again the improvised left-back defender; goalie Daniel Aranzubia will try to add his eleventh clean sheet on the season and his first since February 7.

With Juca and Sergio out injured, it is clear that Juan Rodriguez and Antonio Tomás will keep playing at midfield, but the doubt is if the Basque coach will keep trusting in Juan Dominguez for the playmaker role, the Galician youngster just appeared for the fourth time as starter against Villarreal and Lotina still happy with him, but Valerón should always be a choice for the position, especially against a rival that has big defensive problems.

Pablo Alvarez should stay at the right wing and Andrés Guardado will be a starter at the left, this despite the Mexican will arrive until today after playing 60 minutes in the 2-0 win of Mexico over New Zealand. The same Guardado has said that he isn’t at the top of his physical form, but the coach will use him anyway.

In attack Adrián will try to break, once and for all, his drought of 867 minutes without scoring a goal, for it he has the motivation of his goal against Liechtenstein with the U-21 squad of Spain. Lassad will probably stay out of the list for the match since Lotina prefers to rest him for Sevilla, while Mista should be playing his first minutes as substitute after an absence of three months. His last match was the 1-1 at UD Almeria (matchday 14)

At Tenerife, the novelty is that coach José Luis Oltra is recovering left-back defender Carlos Bellvis, the ex-Numancia had a knee abductor injury, but on Thursday he was already training with the group, but right-back defender and captain of the team Marc Bertrán won’t travel to La Coruña due to a thigh problem that will keep him our for four weeks, his substitute could be Aitor Nuñez or Juan Luis Hens ‘Juanlu’. Meanwhile, Argentine central defender Ezequiel Luna will miss the clash due to suspension.
