Deportivo B allowed four goals in one single game for the third time in three years, besides the team is scoreless within the last three matches. A very different picture from the solid image of past months; what’s happening? Ramallo explains it.

Dark moment for Deportivo B; the team coached by Rogelio ‘Tito’ Ramallo has only added one of the last nine points in dispute, besides it accumulates a strange drought of 151 minutes without scoring a goal. And on the past Sunday it suffered its worst defeat on the season as penultimate place AS Somozas crushed Fabril with a 4-0 score. It was just the third time in three years in which the squad allows four goals in one single game (the other two were the 0-4 at Vilalonga in 2006 and the 1-4 at Real Unión during the past campaign).

And it seems a thing without explanation, because before Fabril was living its best moment on the season, with seven straight games without a defeat and with five consecutive wins within the months of January and February.  Something that allowed reaching the top of the Galician group at Tercera División.

Now, Ramallo tries to explain what’s happening, “Let’s say that this last defeat must be useful to make conscience, to be aware that we all have to yield more. Our bad streak is a wake up call, but I want to see the team keeping the tranquility, to seem them keeping the idea that our goal is to end within the first four places, and that the highest hope is to end first.” He said to newspaper La Opinión A Coruña
“Within the last month we have lost our identity, and we had less people to prepare Sundays’ games; we have important casualties; we have no strikers available and two central defenders are out since a long time ago. And then we lost some important players that have been pulled to the first team, which is always positive, the best news. In the other hand, at Somozas we faced a rival that was better in strategic plays, they scored two good goals and we lost through the aerial game” He added.

And it’s that Fabril faced the matches against Ourense, Racing Vilalbés and Somozas without a natural striker, because Hugo García and Joshua were out injured, exactly the matches in which Depor didn’t score any goal.  Besides, the defensive line has been affected, Karl (ankle) and Vieytes (knee) have been out for a while, and the problems at the first squad have forced Lotina to call important Fabril’s members as David Rochela and Diego Seoane.

That’s why Ramallo is trying to maintain the optimism, “Between the injuries, that have lowered the level of the team, and the fact that since the year started six players have joined Deportivo, we have weakened our squad. The last 0-4 was not normal, but it can happen. No matter what, our season still very good.”
