Lotina, who signed a new contract on Thursday, already announced the 18 players that he has picked for the game at the Sánchez Pizjuán; Lassad is part of the list, but Mista and Zé Castro are out again. At Sevilla, Kanouté is doubtful.

Coach Miguel Angel Lotina announced on Thursday the list of 18 players picked for the game at the Sánchez Pizjuán; the novelties were that Mista and Zé Castro were left out although both are already training at the top after surpassing their physical problems, while striker Lassad Nouioui was called for the second straight time after surpassing his hamstring injuries. Manuel Pablo (sinusitis) and Juan Dominguez are also part of the trip after surpassing their problems.

All appoints that Lotina will implement the highly publicized switch to the 4-3-2-1 system (4-3-3), and the doubt continues to be who will play in the two playmaking roles on the scheme, the exit of Mista reduced the list of candidates to five names: Iván Pérez, Valerón, Lassad, Pablo Álvarez and Juan Dominguez. The final decision could be taken this Friday as the team will have its last training of the week (09h30 CET)

At Sevilla, the news of the day are related to Frederic Kanouté, striker that suffered an ankle problem on Thursday’s training, which forced him to skip the last part of the session. The doctors said it isn’t a serious problem, but a later scan revealed that he suffered a contusion; therefore he is doubtful for Saturday. 

This new setback just complicate the things fro coach Manolo Jimenez, because it could force him to call Luis Fabiano for the game, the Brazilian is coming out from a chest injury and he was going to be reserved for next Tuesday’s game in Champions League against CSKA Moscow. Meanwhile, right-back Abdoulay Konko is not ready after suffering a muscular problem against Real Madrid and it isn’t know yet if he will be part of the game against the Galicians.

The club announced on Saturday that coach Miguel Angel Lotina, second coach José Luis Ribera and physical coach Eduardo Domínguez have signed the renewal of their contracts. The renewal is for one more season and no details were given about the clauses of the deal. The renewal was expected since president Lendoiro and the Basque manager already had a verbal agreement. Lotina arrived to Depor for the season 2007/08 and in this way he will complete four seasons at the Galician club, which is now the longest period in Lotina’s career.
