Once again the casualties are markings the news at Deportivo; Lotina is missing eight players for the clash against Valencia FC, including central defenders Colotto and Lopo. At least Lassad and Mista are traveling with the team.

The last part of the season continues to be a nightmare for coach Miguel Angel Lotina, because the team still missing a reaction after spending eight straight matchdays without a win, and also because of the large list of casualties had within the last two weeks. For the past game with UD Almeria the Basque manager had nine casualties, and for the match with Valencia (Saturday, 22h00 CET) he is missing eight men.

This new list is composed by Brayan Angulo (knee), Albert Lopo (thigh), Filipe Luis (fibula & ankle), Andrés Guardado (muscular), Juca (thigh), Juan Dominguez (ankle sprain), Rodolfo Bodipo (biceps femoral) and Diego Colotto, this last one suspended after picking the fifth yellow card of the season.

Maybe the biggest problems are at the centre of the defence, because the two normal starters are out of action, which means that Ze Castro and Adrián López ‘Piscu’ will have to cover the central positions against the offensive line of Valencia, which is the third best in la liga with 52 goals scored in 33 matches.

Guardado is another important casualty as the Mexican is the reference at the left wing; the club is also worried about the condition of youngster Juan Dominguez, the midfielder has suffered two ankle sprains in a matter of one week and Depor Sport announced on Thursday that the doctors are fearing that he might miss the rest of the season. Meanwhile, Brazilian Juca is returning today to La Coruña after surpassing his injury problem in his home country.

At least Lotina has recovered Manuel Pablo, Lassad Nouioui and Mista; the Canarian defender has surpassed a tendonitis and is also returning after missing the clash with Almeria due to suspension, while attackers Lassad and Mista have surpassed their injuries and are among the options that Lotina has in order to replace Guardado at the starting eleven.
