Lotina is planning to put both Juca and Raúl in the starting lineup that will face Real Zaragoza, while the big doubt is who will cover the absence of Guardado at the left wing.

Ahead of the clash against Real Zaragoza coach Miguel Angel Lotina seems to have a defined defensive and midfield line. On Thursday the Basque man tested with Manuel Pablo performing at the right-back position and Fabril’s Raúl Garcia on the left. The Canarian performed at the left side against Valencia and now is returning to his natural position, while Raúl will play his third straight home game as starter.

At the centre, Albert Lopo already surpassed a thigh problem, while Diego Colotto is returning from suspension. So, the plans of Lotina are to use this couple, same one that has played in 26 of the 34 liga matches played so far, however the last time that these two men played together was in matchday 31 against Racing Santander (1-1).

Things are also defined at midfield territory; Lotina tested on Thursday a combination with Antonio Tomás and Juca on the pivote functions, the Cantabrian has been a starter within the last seven liga matches, while the Brazilian returned one week ago from his home country after surpassing a muscular problem that left him out for two months, his last game was the 0-2 defeat at RCD Espanyol (matchday 22) and now he is going directly into the starting eleven.

Lotina didn’t test any particular formation for the attacking line; what seems sure is that Riki will be the central attacker as he is the Pichichi at the team with six goals scored, while the big doubt is who will play at the left wing. Since Guardado got injured Lotina has tested with Iván Pérez and even switching Pablo Alvarez from the right, but both were disaster moves and now the most probable thing is to see Adrián playing there.

Juan Rodriguez should be the right winger in the formation, while other of the doubts is who will perform as the playmaker. Juan Dominguez hasn’t trained on the week due to an ankle sprain and it isn’t know if Lotina will keep trusting in Pablo Alvarez after his poor game against Valencia. It could be a good opportunity for Juan Carlos Valerón, who just signed a renewal for Depor.
