Depor Sport announced on Saturday that Lotina wants Giovani Dos Santos or Carlos Vela ahead of next season; and on Sunday Depor’s paper was for the first time admitting a possible agreement with right winger Saul.

Deportivo still looking at Mexico; that’s the resume of what Depor Sport wrote on its Saturday issue. Since the arrival of Andrés Guardado a lot of Mexican names have been linked with Deportivo, and on Saturday Depor’s Sportpaper presented at the cover a picture of Lotina dressed as a Mariachi and saying that “We are looking in Mexico for someone to play at the right wing and both players are the ones that I most like.”

Lotina was talking of Giovani Dos Santos (21, Tottenham Hotspurs) and Carlos Vela (21, Arsenal FC). The first is an old wish of the Basque coach and the second was already mentioned as a possible reinforcement in past seasons. The idea of Lotina is to use any of them as a right winger, but it won’t be an easy operation, because both are considered as future starts that won’t leave their clubs so easily. To make things worse both are part of the Mexican team in South Africa 2010 and if they make a solid job there, then the negotiations will be more complicated.

The same source also mentions the name of Christian “the Hobbit” Bermudez (22, Atlante CF), a right winger that played the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Despite his height (1.63) he’s considered a skilful player.

Meanwhile, on Sunday Depor Sport admitted for the first time the very possible arrival of right winger Saúl Fernández (25, Elche CF). The Sportpaper didn’t want to admit any agreement with the player, mainly because the season at Segunda División hasn’t ended yet and also because the winger is currently having a conflict with his agent.

Instead the paper emphasized the qualities of the Asturian winger, while it suggested that the officials of Elche already assumed his departure and also the fact that the player is already searching for a house in La Coruña.  Since the end of May several newspapers and websites have been assuring that Saúl already has an agreement with Depor, this taking in mind that he is ending contract with Elche on June 30, but the same sources also informed that the deal won’t be official until June 20, day in which the season at Segunda ends.
