Lotina talked to reporters for the first time on the season; he spoke of the signings, the possible departure of Filipe and also about his expectations for the new liga campaign.

After Friday’s first training session, coach Miguel Ángel Lotina talked to reporters at the press room; he started analyzing the new arrivals, “We have made good signings; I am very hopeful, even more than the past year, because I think we do have a more balanced squad, and for that reasons I am pretty quiet and content.”

“We have the advantage of having some veterans that are helping the young people and are the ones responsible for such a great feeling at the dressing room. Besides, it’s always useful to bring young blood to the squad.” He added.

The Basque manager also had a positive opinion about latest signing Urreta, “The possibility of Urreta appeared, the reports were phenomenal and it has been a great signing, because we like him. We weren’t looking for reinforcements for that spot, but it seems that in the end the club made a big effort for him.”

Later Lotina assured that Filipe and Guardado will only leave in case that a good offer appears, “Neither Filipe nor Guardado will be sold at any price, though if a good opportunity appears and the president thinks is the right one according to the market, then the logical thing will be to sell the player. We all are conscious that the club needs the money, though they will be important casualties for us.”

Finally, Depor’s coach admitted that he already have a list of candidates to replace a possible exit of Filipe, including Murcia’s left-back defender Sergio Escudero, ”We have four or five alternatives, but for the moment we don’t have a concrete target. Escudero is player that is there, he has made a great job and several clubs are chasing him, but until Filipe goes out we won’t make any new step.”
