Midfielder Alex Bergantiños has been loaned to Granada CF, club that’s returning to Segunda División for the season 2010/11. It’s the third loan for the ex-Fabril after his promotion to Lotina’s first squad.

The dream of Alex Bergantiños about been able to debut with Depor’s first team will have to wait at least one more year, because the 25-year-old player has been loaned out to Granada CF. In this way the ex-captain of Fabril will spend his third straight year loaned at other club after been promoted by coach Lotina (summer of 2008).

Deportivo and Granada were negotiating for the Galician player since the past week, and it seemed the operation was frozen as Lendoiro was asking for a payment. Meanwhile, recent promoted club to Primera Hercules CF seemed also interested, but in the end Granada reached an agreement with both Lendoiro and Alex and the deal was announced late on Tuesday. It’s the second player of Depor going out loaned after the exit of Bodipo to Romanian club FC Vaslui.

Alex was the captain of Deportivo B during the season 2007/08, later he was promoted to the first squad by coach Lotina, but he considered that the youngster needed to gain experience, reason why he was loaned to Xérez CD, club that achieved the promotion to Primera División on that Segunda campaign.

One year later the story was repeated and Alex was loaned for the second time to Xérez, which allowed him to debut at Primera División. During the season the midfielder played 26 matches accumulating 1,989 minutes in liga, which was the eighth highest mark at Xerez’s squad.

The player already knew that his chances of staying were minimal, as he said on the past week, “ It is clear that what any player wants is to play, and my big dream is to be able to debut with Depor, but if there’s no room for me, then I neither want to stay occupying a spot.”. Now Alex will have to prove, once again, his value outside of La Coruña.
