The club is currently playing in the Football League Championship (second-highest division overall in the English football league system). This is the last friendly game for The Bluebirds before starting the liga season.

Depor still having problems with the injuries; the cases of Juca (thigh), Juan Dominguez (adductor) and Aranzubia (shoulder) have been joined by Adrian (thigh), Lassad (hamstring) and Pablo Alvarez (muscular contracture). At the same time the Basque coach is resting Albert Lopo, Laure, David Rochela and Andrés Guardado, this last player just joined the trainings during this week.

The most affected area is the striking zone, with Lassad and Adrian out the only striker available is Riki, reason why Lotina has decided to pick up Dionisio Emanuel Villalba ‘Dioni’, the 20-year-old striker that joined Depor B a few weeks ago coming from Caravaca and that already scored three goals with Fabril during the pre-season.

To mention that Canarian striker Ruben Castro wasn’t included in the list as it seems he’s negotiating his exit from the club. Meanwhile, other Fabril’s member in the list of 18 players is right-back defender Diego Seoane, who is the one replacing Laure. About the new signings, the five most recent incorporations are part of the trip to Wales, including Rubén Pérez, who might be making his debut wearing Depor’s shirt.

Stopira was initially included in the list, but a visa problem forced the player to stay in La Coruña. Lotina was planning to travel with 18 players, but in the end he is only flying with 17. But the Basque manager was more worried in tranquilizing the fans after all the results on the pre-season, as he told to reporters on Friday, ”I have made tremendous pre-seasons and later we didn’t win anything when the league was on, also more poor pre-seasons with more victories later. I am careless in winning or losing a game, what we need is to make a good team for the start of the season. If we win now and then we are not in the best conditions for the end of August then its deceiving. That's when we are going to be asked for results”

The team travelled to Wales during Friday’s afternoon and arrived to Cardiff after stopping off in London. The hotel of the concentration is the Vale Resort in Cardiff. The team is scheduled to return to La Coruña until Sunday’s night and will later play the Teresa Herrera against Newcastle United (Tuesday, 21h00 CET).
