MOREL SIGNS FOR DEPOR

Deportivo has officially confirmed the signing of Claudio Morel; the Paraguayan left-back defender will arrive tomorrow to pass the medicals. He will sign a two-year deal and the club still waiting for Norwegian Knut Olav RindarÝy.

The so expected arrival of a new left-back defender is finally taking place as Deportivo is officially confirming the signing of Claudio Morel, the 32-year-old Paraguayan player that is arriving after playing for six years at Argentinean club Boca Juniors and after disputing the last FIFA World Cup. He is arriving for free as his contract expired in June. In this way he will be the fourth Paraguayan that will play for Depor.

His signing was expected since the past week, but  the official press article released by canaldeportivo.com assured that the club has been negotiating with the player since three months ago. Morel will arrive to La CoruŮa on Monday and will pass the medicals. He could directly enter into the starting lineup that on next Sunday will face Zaragoza in the debut in liga.

But it isnít the only arrival expected for the next hours, because thereís another left-back defender that Deportivo is trying to sign: Knut Olav RindarÝy (25, Molde FK) Depor Sport announced on Sunday that the deal for the Norwegian is done and that the club is only waiting for the arrival of the papers, which should be sent on Monday as on Sunday Molde was facing an important Tippeligaen game against Rosenborg BK (1-3 defeat in the end).  RindarÝy will arrive loaned for one year and Depor will have a buyout option over him, amount that hasnít been revealed yet.

In this way the left-back position is finally covered after the departure of Filipe Luis to Atletico, actually it could be said that itís now one of the most competitive positions at the team as now Lotina will have two players for the job, plus youngsters Raul Garcia and Stopira, who are now competing for the same place at Deportivo B.
