LENDOIRO’S SPEAKS OUT

26 Aug 2010
Depor’s president talked after the presentation of Rindaroy and Morel; he explained several issues including the cases with Piscu and Bodipo, plus the offers coming from other clubs for Pablo Alvarez and Ze Castro.

New signings Felipe Ramos, Claudio Morel and Olav Rindaroy were presented on Wednesday’s evening at the Riazor; after the event president Augusto César Lendoiro talked to reporters and explained several issues related to the club. The following is a resume of what he said.

RINDAROY & MOREL
“We had to sign two players for this position due to the big difficulties to find good left-back defenders in the market. For the moment what I can tell you is that the buyout option over Rindaroy is below the one million Euros and that it must be fulfilled before March of 2011.”

PISCU
“The only thing we know for sure is that one of these days his agent came and said that if he was going to another Spanish club then they would pay the clause (one and a half million Euros), and that if the club was foreigner then there would be nothing. I just can tell you that we’ll go until the end on this subject and will try to block any transfer, there’s a resolution between the AFE (players’ association) and the LFP on this. We already inscribed him in la liga and has the slot number 25.”

ZE CASTRO
“There are offers for Ze Castro. More in concrete a loan offer that includes a buyout option. It is coming from a big club in Europe. The loan will take place if they pay the operation now.”

PABLO ALVAREZ
“Several clubs have been asking about the situation of Pablo Alvarez. We have been contacted by Hércules and for now we haven’t received any official proposition. The coach has gave the OK.”

BODIPO
“We asked for €200,000 plus taxes for his loan, not the million Euros they say (Elche), that's crazy and it isn’t true, the €200,000 is all we asked at the time. Now, at the club, we don’t have any proof that he has terminated the contract with the Romanian team, because they haven’t contacted us, we just know what player told us. We were assuming the 50% of his wages. He has a contractual obligation to join Deportivo on July 1, 2011. He has to train in Romania where he decided to be; he won’t train with us; if he won’t be there then it will be elsewhere, at Elche or whatever it is."

THE ARRIVAL OF A NEW STRIKER
“Yes, we will try to bring a new striker to the team.”

LAFITA & AOUATE
“Until now we haven’t seen a dime from Zaragoza and Mallorca.”

PABLO IGLESIAS
“The vocational training that’s given to the youth team players at the club it’s among the best you can find in this country. We put the best available resources for the studies, the best coaches and when they grow up the best hotels and the best resources. And when one of those kids ends going out then you will always find somebody wanting to take an advantage. We have to solve the case with Real Madrid. Hopefully for the good of Spanish football and Deportivo everything will be resolved." –Pablo Iglesias is a former Cadete player that was hired by Real Madrid on the past month without the authorization of Deportivo, and there’s an agreement between the Primera clubs to not touch the youngsters of other schools.-
