On the weekend it was known that Lotina is losing Riki for Sunday’s game, yesterday it was confirmed that Guardado and Juca are discarded and that Urreta will probably miss the clash Meanwhile, Pandiani is doubtful at Osasuna.

More problems for coach Miguel Ángel Lotina, on the weekend the doctors at the club confirmed that Riki (thigh) won’t be ready for Sunday’s game against Osasuna (Riazor, 17h00 CET). And on Tuesday it was known that the Basque coach is also losing left winger Andrés Guardado, midfielder Juca and probably right winger Jonathan Urreta.

Guardado was concentrated with Mexico ahead of a friendly game against Venezuela, but in the last training session he suffered a muscular problem on his left thigh, further scans revealed that he sustained a hamstring injury and the medicals services in Mexico announced that he should be out of action for eight or ten days, which means that he won’t be ready to face the Navarrans.

Meanwhile, Juca got injured on Tuesday’s training session as he sustained a grade one muscular injury (thigh); new scans will be made on Thursday, but the Brazilian midfielder is already discarded for Sunday. The bizarre case is winger Urreta, who travelled on the past weekend to Uruguay and that couldn’t return to Spain due to a passport problem. The club announced that he will return on Friday, but it isn’t probable that the Uruguayan will be picked for Sunday’s clash, mainly because he recently surpassed an injury case (knee sprain) and therefore hasn’t completed the proper training during this week.

Lotina also has to wait in order to check the physical state of his other international players: Rindarøy, Morel, Adrián and Rubén Pérez; the four of them should be joining the squad on Wednesday after playing with their national teams. Paraguayan Morel played the full ninety minutes in Tuesday’s morning clash against New Zealand (2-0), while Adrian completed another great performance against Croatia (3-0) scoring a goal and giving an assist. The Asturian played the fill ninety minutes, while Ruben Perez was a starter and completed 75 minutes on the pitch.

Also, the coach is recovering Daniel Aranzubia, Juan Dominguez and Pablo Alvarez, trio that hasn’t played yet on the liga season due to injury reasons. Actually Lotina already confirmed that the Basque keeper will be the starter against Osasuna. Ze Castro is also fit to play after surpassing a hamstring problem.

A thing that called the attention on Tuesday’s training was the presence of 150 fans from the Riazor Blues at Abegondo, they were cheering up the players throughout the training session and showed a signboard with the phrase “Union and compromise”. Lotina even had to stop the training session for a few seconds in order to thank for the support. After the training the coach read a press release thanking the fans for the support.

At Osasuna, coach José Antonio Camacho is having the casualty of Patxi Puñal, who is suspended, besides Walter Pandiani is doubtful due to hamstring problem. The ex-Depor marksman is sidelined since last week and it isn’t known yet if he will be fit to play at the Riazor. Besides, the coach still has to check the fitness of his international players Nacho Monreal (Spain) and Krisztián Vadócz (Iran)

On Tuesday Camacho tested a trivote figure for the game against Depor; with Javad Nekounam taking the place of Puñal at midfield. Fernando Soriano and Rúper were the other two pivotes in the formation, while Camuñas and Juanfran were on the wings. The doubt is who could replace Pandiani, so far the alternatives are Carlos Aranda, Dejan Lekic and Kike Sola
