Lotina will allow the return of Knut Rindarøy to the starting eleven for the upcoming clash against Sporting Gijón; Adrian and Ruben Pérez are also returning, while Depor’s coach still has to decide if Guardado will play the match.

On Tuesday Miguel Ángel Lotina confirmed that he was thinking in giving a new opportunity to Knut Olav Rindarøy for the home match against Sporting Gijón, this in order to replace Diego Seoane at the left-back position; the Norwegian has only played twice on this liga season, both games took place at the Riazor, first in the 0-2 loss with UD Almeria, game in which the defender was unlucky  as he deflected the ball that turned to be the second goal of the Andalusians.

But his second game at Depor was much better as he was part of the team that trashed RCD Espanyol (3-0), which was the first liga victory of the team during this season. Despite giving a positive impression, Rindarøy had to be replaced at half-time due to a hamstring problem, precisely Seoane was the one that claimed the spot and since then the Fabril’s youngsters has been the starter at the first team; now Lotina is ready to switch back the roles. The Norwegian is feeling better and much integrated to the team, he even predicted a 3-1 win for Depor during an interview at Depor Sport.

It won’t be the only modification to the starting eleven for this game, because Lotina will also introduce Adrian and Ruben Pérez; the Asturian attacker just played the last twenty-five minutes of the game against Atletico Madrid as he was dragging an ankle problem, while the Andalusian midfielder missed the game since Atletico is his parent club. These two entries will leave Antonio Tomas and Lassad out of the starting eleven.

The big doubt is if Andrés Guardado will be one of the two playmakers in the formation; the Mexican is ready to play, but Lotina hasn’t decided yet if he will be a starter. If the ex-Atlas winger stays on the bench then Depor’s manager can choose between Saul, Desmarets, Pablo Álvarez and even Lassad for the spot at the left.

Therefore the expected lineup at this point of the week is a 5-2-2-1 scheme; with Dani Aranzubia at the goal; Manuel Pablo on the right-back position, Rindarøy on the left, while Colotto, Lopo and Aythami will perform at the centre of the defense. Catalan Lopo has skipped the last two training sessions (virus), but the doctors expect that he will be fine for Saturday.

Ruben Pérez will join Juan Rodriguez at midfield, while Jonathan Urreta will keep performing as one of the playmakers in the formation, Adrian should be the central attacker and the other spot at the team is between Guardado, Desmarets, Saúl, Pablo Álvarez and Lassad.

Currently, there are three former players of Sporting Gijón at Deportivo: Saúl Fernández, Pablo Álvarez and Manuel Fernández ‘Manu’. Actually, the three of them are Asturians and also started their career at Sporting. However, the three of them might end sited on the bench.

‘The Shark’ was commenting his feelings regardless this match, “It is a club that always trusted in me; I spent seven years there and I spent wonderful times, so I consider it as my home. However, we are now rivals and it’s an important match for us, so we will do our best effort and will try to pick up the three points.”
