Lotina didn’t test any formation for the first match in 2011 and will wait until today in order to decide the lineup. The good news is that the Basque man is recovering five of the six players that were doubtful.

No clues on the lineup that coach Miguel Ángel Lotina will use against Athletic Bilbao; on Friday the team only had a massage session and therefore the Basque coach will test the starting eleven for the clash until today’s training behind closed doors at the Riazor (11h00 CET).

The good news is that the team is recovering five of the six players that were doubtful: Antonio Tomás, Desmarets (both gastroenteritis), Laure, Lassad (both ankle) and Rindarøy (thigh). The exception is Jonathan Urreta (flu), who was training with the squad on Friday, but the doctors think that he is not ready yet to play, reason why he will miss the game at San Mamés.

The other three players that will skip the clash are Andrés Guardado, Riki (both muscular) and Michel (knee). Also, David Rochela has been told that he will travel to Bilbao, which should indicate that Ze Castro will not be picked for the match.

The other Fabril’s player that has been a regular starter on the season, Diego Seoane , will not be picked for the trip, so he will join Fabril for the final match on the first round against CD Guadalajara (Abegondo, 18h00). This should mean that Knut Rindarøy will be again the starting choice at the left-back position; the Norwegian was also a starter in the past liga game with Sporting Gijón. Finally, to inform that Athletic’s striker Fernando Llorente trained apart on Friday, and all appoints that he will miss the clash against Deportivo.
