Lotina hasn’t decided yet who will be the attacking duo in the game against Real Madrid; the rest of the squad is already decided, including the presence of Guardado.

Coach Miguel Ángel Lotina still has to show two of his cards for Saturday’s clash against Real Madrid; and those question marks are related to two of the four offensive players that will compose the starting lineup, which in the end will dictate if the final formation turns to be a 4-4-2 or a 4-2-3-1 figure.

By Thursday the Basque trainer had only decided the composition of midfield and the defensive zone; at the back zone Aranzubia will be at the goal, Laure will definitely be the right-back defender as Manuel Pablo is already discarded for the clash, Claudio Morel will keep playing on the left and the duo at the centre will be Colotto-Lopo.

At midfield, Antonio Tomás and Ruben Pérez will occupy the pivote positions; the novelty is the return of Andres Guardado as he will perform on the left wing, according to the tests saw on Wednesday the idea of the coach is to play with Adrian at the right and the doubts starts from there.

Because on Wednesday the coach only worked with a starting squad composed by nine men, and on Thursday the group trained at the Zona Fit gym located at the Riazor. In this last session the fiend players were divided in two groups, the first trained earlier and was composed by Juca, Rubén Pérez, Guardado, Míchel, Lassad, Antonio Tomás, Aythami, Colotto, Desmarets and Sand

The second was composed by Morel, Lopo, Juan Rodríguez, Pablo Álvarez, Valerón, Adrián, Laure, Rochela, Ze Castro and Juan Domínguez. Meanwhile, goalkeepers Aranzubia, Manu, Diego Rivas and Felipe Ramostrained at Abegondo alongside keeper’s trainerJosé Sambade.

Therefore the doubt is if Lotina will end playing with three natural strikers on the pitch (4-4-2 figure with Adrian on the right wing), or if instead he will put a playmaker (4-2-3-1 draw). The candidates for the two available spots are Juan Dominguez, Juan Rodriguez, Valerón, Pablo Álvarez, Lassad, Riki and Sand.

At Real Madrid, it has been confirmed that Sami Khedira will be out for two weeks due to quadriceps injury sustained in the Champions League game against Lyon, therefore Mourinho has to choos between Lass Diarra, Fernando Gago and Esteban Granero as the companion of Xabi Alonso at midfield. Cristiano Ronaldo sustained a knock in the game with Lyon, but he is fit to play against Depor.
