Lotina is missing Lopo for Monday’s meeting and all appoints that Aythami will replace him, but the bigger problems are at the left-back position as Morel is injured. Meanwhile, the rival has several casualties for injury reasons.

Deportivo returns to the Riazor in order to continue on its quest for the permanence; on Monday the Galicians are facing Real Sociedad (21h00 CET) and a victory could mean to increase the difference with the relegation zone, this since the direct rivals are playing against each other, while Zaragoza and Racing Santander are facing the big ones, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The main novelty at the squad is that Albert Lopo is suspended as he has now ten yellow cards on the season. The Catalan defender was booked on the past meeting with Osasuna and had an additional yellow card for showing a message on his shirt after scoring against Villarreal; so he is now missing his second game in liga for suspension and again it’s the game against Real Sociedad as he was unable to play before at Anoeta.

His usual partner at the centre of the defense, Diego Colotto, is also at the edge of the suspension as he has four yellow cards on the season, now the Argentine man will probably be joined by Aythami Artiles, the Canarian defender was the main victim of the latest switch in the system. He was the third central defender in Lotina’s scheme with five men at the back zone, but within the last four games he has been on the bench, this since Depor’s coach has been playing with four defenders.

But the main concerns for the Basque coach are located at the left-back position; Claudio Morel sustained an Achilles injury during Friday’s session and is doubtful for Monday’s clash. Diego Seoane remains sidelined (Gastrocnemius) and actually he will miss tomorrow’s derby between Celta B and Deportivo B.

And with Manuel Pablo still out, Lotina could end only having one available side defender for the clash: Laure. The emergency solutions could be to pick Raul Garcia from Fabril, or to place one of the central defenders at the left (Rochela or Ze Castro). Other choice is to play with Desmarets or Guardado on that position, both men already fulfilled those duties at their home leagues.

Meanwhile, Rubén Pérez is returning after been rested for the past meeting with Osasuna; the Andalusian midfielder suffered a knock on his right foot during the game against Real Madrid and on Friday he was already training with the rest of the squad. But the trio that will remain out for injury reasons are Xisco (groin), Manuel Pablo and Valerón (hamstring strain), none of them are expected to return before the end of the month.

Another player that still unavailable is Javito, the right winger hasn’t debuted yet as his transfer still blocked. FIFA Players' Status Committee hasn’t studied the case and it seems that they won’t do it in the short term. The player still training with the team and some journalists are starting to believe that he will never play for Deportivo.

And a new weird case was known on Thursday, because the club informed that Knut Rindarøy is returning to Deportivo, but only in order to train with the first team until the end of the season. He was the sacrificed player that opened the spot for Javito, and the Norwegian hasn’t been able to find a new club after been on trial at Feyenoord Rotterdam. In the end the club that owns his rights, Molde FK, and Depor agreed to open a space for him at the Galician team in order to keep him working until June.

After the session, Rindaroy talked to reporters –in English- and he said that, ”I am a little sad. Not angry, not angry… not mad, because this is just football, but for me the good thing was to play on here and in the end I never had opportunities. What surprised me was the way in which they told me that they weren’t counting with me, because I was in Norway watching my baby. They just put me a message telling me that I was out of the list, so it was a sad message. I don’t want to talk of Feyenoord, no comment, but can say that it was a great experience for me. Truly I got some offers from Russia and Norway, but it was only interest, so I want to stay training on here and later I hope to meet a good offer. Maybe I will go to Norway in the summer.”

Meanwhile, Real Sociedad has several injury cases before visiting the Riazor, more specifically there are seven players that are currently dragging physical problems: striker Imanol Agirretxe (Gastrocnemius), winger Mikel Aranburu (hamstring), striker Raúl Tamudo (toe), playmaker David Zurutuza (knee), defensive midfielder Gorka Elustondo (stress fracture), winger Paco Sutil (virus) and striker Joseba Llorente (back).

Only Elustondo and Llorente are already discarded for the meeting against Deportivo, but the major part of the rest of injured players are big doubts for Monday’s match. At least playmaker Xabi Prieto is fit to play after been dragging an ankle sprain within the last weeks. The media is San Sebastián has been asking for more protection for him, because he is the player that receives more fouls at Primera División (83).
