On Thursday Depor’s coach didn’t test anything for the game with Sporting, but for what was saw on Tuesday and Wednesday it seems that the lineup for the game will be a 442. The starting lineup will include three strikers.

The “final” against Sporting Gijón means a great opportunity to claim three golden points that could be decisive in the quest for the permanence. And Lotina knows it, for this reason he is preparing an offensive lineup that could include three strikers at the starting lineup. The Basque coach tested a 4-4-2 lineup on Wednesday and Thursday, though on Friday he didn’t test anything during a session behind closed doors at the Riazor.

So far, there are two doubts in the possible starting eleven; the first is if Manuel Pablo will be available for the meeting. The Canarian has just surpassed a hamstring strain injury, normally he should be fit to play until next week, but the defender is trying to be ready for Saturday’s visit to Gijón and will pass a late test on Friday that will surely have a direct impact in the lineup for the game.

On Thursday the Canarian defender was commenting his physical state at the press room of Abegondo, “I think things have been hurried, but the true is that my sensations have been pretty good. I am working at the top and tomorrow, according to what I feel after the training session, will take a final decision.”

He was also analyzing the fact that Lotina is preparing an offensive lineup for the game, ”We must try it. I don’t know how it will be, but we must believe on it. We know it’s tough, that maybe we will have to risk, and it should be like this. We didn’t achieve the results playing in other ways, and maybe now we need to risk a bit. But especially we must believe that we’ll achieve the victory and must also search for the goals… We know it isn’t easy, because they are also playing for the salvation, but must be mentalized for it.”

Aranzubia will be at the goal, while Laure should be performing at the right-back position, if Manuel Pablo is fit to play then he will perform on the left, if not the spot will be claimed by Fabril’s Diego Seoane. Another novelty is at the centre of the defense, because Lopo is suspended and his spot will be covered by Aythami Artiles, who will be joined by Diego Colotto.

The other doubt is who will play on the right wing, on Tuesday the coach was testing with Adrian, while on the next day Lassad Nouioui was playing there. The rest of the team seems pretty clear, with Juan Rodriguez and Ruben Pérez controlling the traffic of the ball at midfield, Andrés Guardado covering the left wing and the attacking duo composed by Riki and Xisco.

An interesting fact that demonstrates the commitment of the players is that they asked to Lotina to travel to Gijón with all the players at the team. For this reason the 28 men at the first team travelled to Oviedo (the club didn’t find a hotel in Gijón), the list includes the name of Javito and Rindarøy, players that aren’t inscribed for la liga, plus injured men Antonio Tomas, Juca, suspended defender Lopo, and Fabril’s duo Rochela and Seoane. Actually,

Lotina usually hangs the list of picked players at the walls of the changing room, and on this opportunity he put a signboard asking all the players to be in their trainings suits at 9:30 AM at the Riazor; to emphasize that he underlined the word “everyone”. The reason why the team will travel with the training kit on is because the plan is to have a final training session in Oviedo just minutes after arriving to the hotel.
