José Luis Oltra seems to be the first candidate for Depor’s bench ahead of next season, but according to Depor Sport there are other nine options on the list.

One day has passed from the exit of Miguel Ángel Lotina and the club is already exploring the options in order to be in charge of the project at Segunda División; on Tuesday Depor Sport wrote that the club has a list of ten candidates. The official paper of the club even opened a mail account in order to receive proposals of names coming from the fans.

And the ten names on the list of Depor Sport are: Fernando Vázquez, Luis César Sampedro, Martín Lasarte, Quique Setién, Miroslav Djukic, Donato, Néstor Gorosito, José Luis Oltra, Esteban Vigo and Antonio Tapia.

But early in the afternoon a strong rumour was pointing out to José Luis Oltra, who made a good season with Almeria despite the relegation of the Andalusians. The rumour was written by journalist Sergio Barriocanal, who got a hint from an internal source at the club and that knows Oltra as he was a commentator at Radio Cadena Cope.

Later it was rumoured that president Augusto César Lendoiro, who is in Madrid on these days, was having a meeting during the afternoon with the agency Bahía, the same one that manages Oltra. For the moment the club hasn’t said anything related to this issue, but a press conference is expected at the end of the week as soon as the president returns from the capital.

Oltra directed three different clubs at Primera and all of them ended at Segunda: Levante UD (2005-06), Tenerife CF (2009-10) and UD Almeria (2010-11), but the Valencian coach was more successful at Segunda clinching a fourth spot for Ciudad de Murcia (06-7) and later earning the promotion for Tenerife CF (season 2008-09).

It’s too soon to be thinking in possible signings, but at this moment it seems that the other Primera clubs are trying to move fast in order to get the most promising players of Deportivo. It was reported that Getafe already had an agreement with Lopo and Juan Rodriguez, which was confirmed by the current coach of the Madrilenians,Michel.

But on Monday, Lopo himself claimed that he still has the last word and that he will take a final decision on next week. It is know that Depor will be enchanted with his continuity, but it was also informed by Radio Onda Cero that the central defender has been contacted by Villarreal CF, and that he can break the deal with Getafe if he pays €500,000 to the Madrilenian club as compensation.

Meanwhile, another players linked with Getafe and Villarreal are Laureano Sanabria ‘Laure’ and Andrés Guardado. Right-back Laure is a target of Getafe, but according to several reporters Deportivo will not allow his exit, while Mexican Guardado is a tempting choice for Villarreal, side that will play the next UEFA Champions League.
