Depor Sport announced on Thursday that the intention of the club is to sign a new coach before this Sunday; the main candidate continues to be José Luis Oltra, who could even join the club at the same time than the first reinforcements.

Instead of crying after the relegation, president Augusto César Lendoiro decided to start working as soon as impossible in order to plan the season at Segunda División. Just hours after the relegation was confirmed, he was already planning things and by the beginning of the week he traveled to Madrid in order to take part of a meeting in la liga, and also to make the first contacts with possible reinforcements and coaches.

On Tuesday the president attended to Radio Cadena Ser and was interviewed on the show El Larguero, he was trying to be positive about the new present of the club, ”Suddenly we are changing the chip, and now we need a team and a coach for Segunda. We need to search in the market. We want a winning team, because the first and only goal of Deportivo is to win, play well and bring joy to the fans. Now we have the choice to be champions, and that’s always important and attractive.” He said.

The first thing to do is to sign a new coach, and on Thursday Depor Sport was announcing that the intention of the club is to announce the new trainer before this Sunday. The main candidate for the job continues to be ex-Tenerife and ex-Almeria man José Luis Oltra. He is now leading the preferences of the fans that have been invited to vote through a mail account, while several journalists assure that he was already contacted by the club’s officials.

The other two strong candidates are Martin Lasarte, who was fired from Real Sociedad on Wednesday, and Esteban Vigo, who has been without a job since the middle of the season after been fired from Primera club Hércules CF.

The interesting thing with Oltra is that he might join Deportivo brining players to the club, according to journalist Jose Antonio Sande from Radio Cadena Cope he is offering contacts with three players: Tenerife’s striker Nino, Almeria’s winger Albert Crusat and Sevilla’s playmaker Alejandro Alfaro.

But the first two players linked by Depor are striker Aarón Ñíguez (22) and left-back defender Carlos Bellvís (26). Aarón belongs to Valencia and on the current season he is performing loaned at Segunda club Recreativo de Huelva playing twenty-six games and scoring five goals. Meanwhile, Bellvís was linked in the past with Depor and on the current season he is going down to Segunda B with CD Tenerife; the Valencians has only played thirteen games on this season due to a hip injury. Both players were linked with Depor by Radio Marca.

About possible exits, on Thursday newspaper La Opinión A Coruña wrote that Daniel Aranzubia will leave as the club is expecting several offers for him. At the start of this week he was linked with Atletico Madrid as the Madrilenians are selling young promise De Gea to Manchester United CF. And on Thursday he was linked with Malaga CF, club that might also be interested in Colotto and Andrés Guardado.

Precisely, Guardado seems to be the player with more offers; he has been linked with all kinds of different clubs, from British Liverpool FC to Mexican giants America CF and CD Guadalajara. The player already said that he would accept to play at Segunda with Deportivo, but it’s clear that he is one of the main assets at the market.

Finally, a lot has been written about Ruben Pérez; he has a loan contract lasting until 2012, but in recent days it was mentioned that Atletico was trying to recover the midfielder taking advantage of a clause in the loan contract that allows his exit in case of a relegation; however on Thursday Radio Cadena Ser assured that this clause doesn’t exist and that the player will stay at Deportivo.
