Despite the contradictions on the papers, Laure will continue at Deportivo for the season 2011/12. The news was confirmed during a meeting between Ernesto Bello and the agent of the player.

Monday was a weird day on the papers; Marca and AS were assuring that Laureano Sanabria ‘Laure’ is at the market after informing that Getafe is targeting the right-back defender, interest that was confirmed by president Ángel Torres during a press conference.

However, the only argument gave by the papers to justify the exit of the player is the presence of Manuel Pablo and Diego Seoane at the team, which would mean three players for the same position. But this information was denied by newspaper La Voz de Galicia, source that claimed the opposite thing.

According to La Voz, the sporting secretary of the club, Ernesto Bello, and the agent of Laure, José Miguel González, had a meeting during the weekend and in the reunion the club informed that new coach Oltra wants to keep the defender, and that for that reason Deportivo is not going to hear offers coming for the former player of Deportivo B.

Miguel González confirmed the meeting to Radio Cadena Cope as he said that, ”The club told us that they count with Laure as a key an important piece in the project. He will only leave if the offer is extremely good for both parties, and taking in mind how things are right now at the market, I doubt it will happen.”

The right-back defender debuted with the first team in January of 2008 during a visit to Villarreal, six months later he was officially promoted to the first team by Lotina and he signed a contract lasting until 2011, but by the end of the past season the club’s officials were happy with his performance and he signed a two-year renewal. The player also told to reporters in past days that he wouldn’t have problems for been playing at Segunda División.
