Fabril’s right-back Raul Garcia has signed a one-year renewal and will have a chance with the first team during the pre-season, while the club has also signed another right-back defender for Fabril: Adriá Gallego.

On Thursday the renewal of 22-year-old defender Raúl García Granero was confirmed by president Lendoiro, “He has signed a one-year contract with the option to extend the deal for three more years. He is here in order to alternate with the first team or to go out loaned. Let’s see what will be decided.”

This new contract means that Raul will be alternating between the first team and Fabril during the first year, and in case of completing fifteen appearances with the first team in official games, then the player will automatically renew his contract for another three years, this time as a professional player, though the club also has the option to fulfill the clause in case the player didn’t reach the mark of needed matches.

Before the renewal, it was already known that new coach Oltra was going to test the Galician right-back defender during the pre-season stage. If he convinces the coach, then he will stay; if not, then he would be loaned out. Raul García already has an experience at the first team, because he was promoted to the first squad of Lotina at the end of the season 2009/10; he ended playing five liga games, though he did it as a left-back defender.

The A-Coruña born player talked to reporters and said that he feels more mature now after spending another year at Depor B, “I remember all the matches that I played at Primera with Deportivo, and when you recall it then you can see all the mistakes. Later I returned to Depor B and it was useful to gain experience at Segunda B, though the ending was horrible as we suffered the relegation.”

“Now, I am willing to convince Oltra and play with the team of my life; I will probably start the pre-season before the rest, because this is the key stage when you have to convince, and it is good to be on shape since the beginning.” The youngster added.

The club already announced the first signing of Deportivo B ahead of the season 2011/12, and curiously is a right-back defender: Adriá Gallego Arias. A 21-year-old player that’s coming from UE Lleida, club where he has been playing since he was 14; last season he played 32 games scoring five times.

Gallego was considered to be one of the future promises at Lleida as he can cover the whole right sector, actually on last season he was usually playing as a right winger. He was promoted to the first team of the Catalan club during the past season. In this sense it’s quite surprising to see Lleida allowing his exit after the club ended fifth at group III of Segunda B.

What happened is that Lleida is living a big financial crisis; the club is even studying the option of changing its name to Lleida 1939. This situation opened the doors to the exits of several players, including Gallego. So, Depor moved fast in order to get his services. Now, he will probably take the spot of Raul Garcia as the Galician player plans to make a step forward towards the first team.
