Deportivo B returned to the trainings ahead of the season 2011/12; only eight players are continuing from last season; the challenge is to achieve the promotion to Segunda B, but it won’t be easy taking in mind the rivals at Tercera.

New facelift at Deportivo B; the team suffered the relegation from Segunda B and once again the coaching staff has decided to make a change of generation at the team. The youngsters returned to train on Thursday [photo on this article taken by Ana Barja] and will start to compete at the end of August (the calendar hasn’t been released yet by the Spanish Federation).

Only eight players are continuing from last season: keepers Edu and Felipe Ramos, left-back Ianique Santos Tavares  ‘Stopira’, central defenders Diego Vieytes and Stefan Deak, midfielder Ricardo Fernández ‘Richi’, right winger Diego Vela and striker Dionisio Villalba ‘Dioni’. The names of midfielder David Garcia (AS Somozas) and right-back José Manuel (SD Ordes) must be added to the list; both belong to Depor and spent the last season loaned out.

At the end of June the club released a pre-list with thirteen youngsters that were going to start the pre-season with the team, but three of them left the team: central defender Fran Gonzalez, who went back to Lucena, striker Jonathan Mejía Ruiz ´Jona’, who was also released, plus right winger Carlos Monje Serrano ´Chirri’, who was loaned out to Segunda B club Teruel.

The rest of players that complete the squad of sixteen youngsters are coming from Juvenil A (3) and from the outside (3). The three players promoted on a permanent basis from Juvenil A are midfielder Adrian Martinez, Cameroonian winger Julien Dilal Nddombo and striker Álex Pérez. Julen was the bad news on Thursday as he sustained an injury that will keep him at bay for two or three seasons.

Meanwhile, the three signings made so far are: goalkeeper Marc Martínez (21, Racing Santander B), right-back Adriá Gallego (21, UD Lleida) and left-back Ángel Martinez Ortega; (20, RCD Espanyol B). These won’t be the only signings as more arrivals are expected from the coming days.

But the new reinforcements could also come from the inside, because there are six Juvenil A players that will make the pre-season with Fabril; they aren’t scheduled for a promotion, but things might change at the start of the Tercera competition; they  also can end alternating between Depor B and Juvenil A during the regular season; these six youngsters are: central defenders Pablo Insua and Uxío midfielder Alvaro Queijeiro, left winger Iago Beceiro, plus strikers Álvaro Lemos and Luis.

Also, to remember the cases of playmaker Juan Carlos Real and left-back defender Raul Garcia, both are making the pre-season with the first team coached by Oltra, but they belong to Fabril and it shouldn’t be discarded their return to the B squad in case of not convincing Depor’s newest coach.

Depor B returns to Tercera after just one year at Segunda B; the goal is to achieve the promotion, but it won’t be easy taking in mind the presence of rivals like Pontevedra CF, Cerceda, Racing de Ferrol and Ourense.
