Left-back Raul Garcia will play loaned at UD Melilla for the season 2011/12; the Galician defender will be performing at Segunda B, waiting to have a chance at Deporís first team on the next campaign.

Last week 22-year-old Raul Garcia Granero was told that he should be looking for a new team as coach Oltra was not counting with him ahead of the Segunda season. It was a disappointment for him after signing his new contact on the past month. Raul signed a one-year deal with Deporís first team and has the option to extend it for three more seasons.

The true is that the decision of allowing his exit was a surprise, because at the beginning of the pre-season it was thought that the young Galician defender and new signing Ayoze Diaz were going to be two choices for the left-back position, but the plans have changed and now it seems that one of the spots will be for Diego Seoane.

Now, in order to fulfill the extension of his contract, Raul needs to convince everybody at UD Melilla, a Cantabrian club that performs at Segunda B ad thatís trying to return to Segunda for the second time in its short history. The defender will join the trainings on this week and hopes to gain a starting role at the team coached by ”scar Cano Moreno. It isnít the first loan period for Raul, because he already played at MontaŮeros before passing from Juvenil A to Deportivo B

Raul knows the importance of this test, a good performance will give him a chance on next season; he already played at the first team; it was on the season 2009/10 as he appeared in five liga meetings, but on the past two seasons his main presence has been at Deportivo B.
