Depor faces a direct rival for the promotion to Primera; coach Oltra will miss Guardado, but recovers Saúl. Borja Fernandez and Bruno Gama are surpassing their injuries, but won’t be ready for this match.

Important game for Deportivo La Coruña; it’s just matchday 02 at the Segunda competition, but the visit of Hércules CF to the Riazor (Sunday, 20h00 CET) means an exam in order to measure the real potential of Oltra’s team as the Valencians are one of the favourites in order to fight for the promotion spots.

Andrés Guardado will miss the match as the weekend is a FIFA date and Mexico picked the winger for the friendly matches against Poland in Warsaw (Friday) and Chile in Barcelona (Sunday). He will return to La Coruña on Monday. His place at the starting lineup should be claimed by new signing Salomão

But right winger Saúl Fernandez is ready to return after missing the opening matchday with Recreativo due to a hamstring problem. The Asturian will be disputing a starting spot with Pablo Álvarez.

The two players that still out due to injury reasons are Bruno Gama and Borja Fernandez; the Portuguese winger has surpassed his groin injury and joined the trainings on Thursday, but is too soon for him and he is targeting to return for the clash with Barcelona B.

Meanwhile, the Galician centre midfielder is targeting to return for the visit to Sabadell; he was signed injured after having a groin surgery during the summer. Borja is completing part of the training sessions, but he’s missing match fitness and Oltra might delay his debut due this reason.

At Hércules, the club is currently on administration, but the financial problems haven’t been an obstacle for a drastic change at the team coached by Juan Carlos Mandia, who is only keeping seven players compared to the last season at Primera. Within the last two days the Valencians made three signings: midfielder Alberto Escassi, plus strikers Urko Vera and David Aganzo.

These three new arrivals have raised the number of signings to sixteen, which is the highest at Liga Adelante (together with FC Cartagena). Among the incorporations are ex-Depor playmaker Michel, ex-Celta keeper Ismael Falcón, ex-Real Sociedad centre midfielder Diego Rivas, ex-Córdoba winger Juanmi Callejón and loaned striker from Getafe Adrian Sardinero. For the moment there are no injury concerns at the team.
