José Luis Oltra has already decided who will replace Guardado on the right wing; the choices are to risk with Saul Fernandez, to move Lassad to the side or to advance the position of Laure.

Tough call for coach Oltra has he had to decide who will replace Andrés Guardado for tomorrow’s match against CD Alcoyano. The Mexican winger is concentrated with his national team and will not only miss the liga clash, but also the Copa Del Rey meeting against the same rival.

With Pablo Álvarez (hamstring) and Bruno Gama (groin) out injured, Oltra only has one winger totally fit for the first match with Alcoyano: Diogo Salomão. The Portuguese player will be the starter on the left wing, and therefore the big question is who will play on the right flank.

On Thursday, Depor’s coach told to reporters that he already made a decision, but didn’t give any club. He just admitted that he has three options; the first is simply to allow the return of Saul Fernandez, the Asturian joined he trainings during this week after surpassing a hamstring strain injury. It’s the most logical solution to the problem as this is the natural position of Saul, but at the same time Oltra has admitted that it could be too soon for the player as he has been sidelined within the last month and needs match fitness. He will take a final decision on Saul after Friday’s training session.

The second solution is to switch striker Lassad Nouioui to the right wing, which will open a gap for Xisco at the starting eleven. This choice is complemented by the fact that Riki is already back after surpassing a Soleus injury and the Madrilenian could be the backup option at the bench. This alternative has been highly commented by reporters as Oltra was personally working with Xisco during Thursday’s training session.

The third solution is the most radical one, which is to advance the position of right-back defender Laureano Sanabria ‘Laure’; with this move Diego Seoane would keep playing at the right-back position at defense.

Laure himself was admitting the possibility of playing at the right wing as he did it in the past with Lotina, ”I feel pretty comfortable, I’m hopeful, willing to help and pushing to complete an intense work. I’ve played in that position and know that can do the job, though it’s also true that I feel more comfortable performing as a side defender.”

Oltra also talked of the choice of moving Salomão to the right wing, and then to advance the position of left-back Claudio Morel or Ayoze Diaz, but this seems to be the most improbable scenario, mainly as it is the most complicated solution involving to switch two players.
