Xisco is the only casualty for Oltra ahead of Saturday’s match at the Riazor, this since Morel and Riki are already training. Numancia arrives to La Coruña with big problems in attack due to the injuries.

Striker Riki (adductor) was already fine since the past week, but the doctors delayed his return into competition until these days. The Madrilenian attacker received the medical okay on Wednesday and therefore he is available for the meeting with CD Numancia (Riazor, Saturday, 18h00 CET).

On Wednesday, the striker told to reporters that he is ready to play, “I already completed seven training sessions with the team and am eager to gain the pace; I hope to be able to play and am working in order to prevent new injuries. We decided to stop on the past week and accumulate some training sessions, now I’m ready. “

Left-back Claudio Morel is also available as the tear in the muscle of his left hip is already healed; the Paraguayan joined the trainings on Wednesday; however it’s unlike that he will play as Oltra as barely counted with him.

The only player remaining at the injury room is striker Xisco, who has lived a nightmare on this season due to the countless muscular problems, the last one a grade-one muscle injury on his right thigh sustained during a training session. The last thing known was informed by Sportpaper Marca, the source wrote that the club’s doctors won’t allow his return until January, this in order to avoid further problems.

Central defender Ze Castro is also available after been replaced in the second half of the past clash with Real Valladolid, but he was training at the top on Wednesday and the doctors didn’t even made further scans searching for damage on his muscles. So, Oltra has plenty of choices in order to prepare the lineup for the match.

At Numancia, coach Pablo Machín is having huge problems in attack, striker Natalio (knee ligaments) is already discarded for the meeting with Deportivo, while Javier Del Pino (groin) and ex-Real Sociedad Íñigo Díaz de Cerio (adductor) are doubtful. Both men joined the trainings on the past week, but it’s unlike that any of them will start against Depor, mainly Del Pino, who has been out of action for the past seven weeks.

Another headache in attack is winger Julio Álvarez, the A Coruña-born player broke his nose in the past match with FC Cartagena and the doctors will decide until the last minute if he is able to play; if he faces Depor it will be wearing a special mask. On Tuesday he was commenting the issue, ”For me it’s a big hope to play at the Riazor. If the coach wants it then it will be pretty to play at home, with my family and friends… if it isn’t painful then I hope to be able to play.”

At least Ivorian attacker Lago Junior is returning after his country was eliminated from the Summer Olympics qualifying round, though the 20-year-old player remains scoreless on the season. Coach Machín also has casualties at defense, because central defender Leandro Cabrera is out until 2012 due to a quadriceps injury, while right-back Iván Malón is doubtful due to a muscular problem that kept him at bay within the last two league matches.
