Depor travels early on Saturday’s morning to the Canary Islands in order to face UD Las Palmas; Oltra picked the normal starts in liga leaving behind Saul and Pablo Álvarez, the scorers in Copa against Levante.

Coach José Luis Oltra released on Friday the list of picked players for the match against UD Las Palmas; he did it two days before the game because the team travels early in the morning to the Canary Islands. After the convincing presentation in Copa Del Rey, match in which the Valencian trainer changed the entire squad, he is now returning to a “normal” mode.

And it’s that there’s only one change compared to the list of picked players for the liga meeting with CD Numancia, and that modification is the entry of centre midfielder Jesús Vázquez for right winger Pablo Álvarez.

The exit of Pablo Álvarez is one of the highlights after the solid match made by the Shark in Copa, but more surprising is the absence of Saul Fernandez, who scored a brace against Levante. In any case, it isn’t strange as Oltra has plenty of choices for the winger positions, with the deadly trio composed by Mexican Andrés Guardado, plus Portuguese duo Bruno Gama and Diogo Salomão.

There are three casualties for injury reasons; the first two are striker Xisco (thigh) and left-back defender Claudio Morel (hip); The Majorcan striker is already training at the same pace than the rest of players, but the doctors won’t give him the medical okay until next year.

Meanwhile, the Paraguayan defender is delaying his return as one month ago it was announced that he should be back during these days. Striker Rodolfo Bodipo is the third casualty for injury reasons; the Equatoguinean attacker suffered a harsh tackle on the Copa clash with Levante and is out due to a knee problem.

Together with Saul and Pablo Álvarez, the other players discarded for tactical reasons are side defender Diego Seoane, central defender David Rochela and Fabril’s playmaker Juan Carlos, who will be a starter on Sunday’s important game between Depor B and Tercera leader CD Ourense.
