Within the last two months coach Oltra has only made two changes to the starting eleven used in liga, as result Deportivo has added 16 of the 21 points disputed in the period.

Coach José Luis Oltra has finally found a fixed starting eleven for the league competition, a squad that has been supported by the latest results. Since the derby with RC Celta (November 13) the Valencian coach has only made two modifications to the starting formation and Depor has played seven liga matches, winning five, drawing one and only losing once.

The two novelties are located at defense, the first was the exit of Aythami Artiles for the central positions, the Canarian was replaced by Ze Castro, and the second modification is another Canarian player: Ayoze Diaz. The ex-Mallorca man picked a tenth yellow card on the past weekend and is suspended for the upcoming clash against SD Huesca.

It’s true that more changes will occur in the future, because the injuries and suspensions are always around the corner, but the current continuity means a stability that’s healthy as it brings confidence and the most important thing: points, which is what matters at the moment of achieving the promotion back to Primera División.

It neither means that Oltra should always try to repeat a starting eleven, because the rivals aren’t similar and need different approaches, but as long as the team keeps bringing the points it’s almost certain that the fans will continue seeing the same squad.

For the meeting with Huesca, Oltra will continue trusting in Daniel Aranzubia for the goal; Laureano Sanabria ‘Laure’ will cover the right-back position, the only novelty is Diego Seoane, who will be performing on the left, though it isn’t discarded to see him switching positions with Laure, finally Ze Castro and Diego Colotto will perform at the centre of the defense.

At midfield, the Galician duo composed by Álex Bergantiños and Juan Dominguez will still adding minutes, Juan Carlos Valerón will try to guide the team performing at the playmaking function,  Bruno Gama is playing at the right wing, Andrés Guardado will attack from the left flank, while Lassad Nouioui will be the central attacker.
