Andrés Guardado still wiping off the player of the month awards; in January the Mexican winger clinched its fourth straight POM of the season; all thanks to his sacrifice on the pitch, which included a goal scored and an assist.

January was a perfect month for Deportivo; the Galicians reached the first place at the Segunda standings and clinched a perfect mark of four victories in four matches. Several players impressed with their performance in the period, and the big winner was Andrés Guardado, who was chosen by the RCDLC.com peña members as the best player in two of the four meetings in the month (Villarreal B & FC Cartagena)

Also, the ex-Atlas man was the second most voted player in the other two games played in January (Xérez CD and SD Huesca), it clearly demonstrates how Guardado is dominating the race for the player of the season award, just to emphasize the fact that this is the fourth straight time in which the Mexican earns the POM, a record since the award was established by the peña.

Another big winner in the month is Juan Dominguez; The Galician midfielder has quickly earned a spot at the starting team of Oltra and also at the heart of the fans; in January he was part of the most voted players in three of the four matches, including his first Man of the Match award (MOM) –against Xérez CD-

The other two players that appeared in the most-voted list in three opportunities were Diego Colotto and Bruno Gama. Oltra’s team clinched two clean sheets in the month only allowing two goals, the fans noticed the improvement at defense and that’s why the Argentine defender was voted, while the game of the Portuguese on the right wing was also thanked by the peña members.
