Oltra has suddenly passed from a complicate situation with his resources for the games to a scenario of prosperity, and it’s that he’s recovering five men in a stroke of a pen; three of them are regular starters.

Miracles do happen. The start of the season was complicated for Deportivo in terms of injury cases, and last week the difficulties returned as Oltra only had eighteen men available for the match at RC Recreativo, Deportivo won the game, but the concerns were still strong as the casualties were menacing the continuity of a team that was starting to bring good results.

But in a few days everything changed as the Valencian coach has recovered five players, two of them supposedly out of action until March –Lassad and Bruno Gama- now the scenario is different as instead of picking any player that’s healthy for the matches the coach will have to discard four of them due to tactical reasons.

Perhaps the best news is that Ze Castro is ready to join Diego Colotto at the centre of the defense, a combination that hasn’t lost any game yet in liga, though Aythami Artiles made an acceptable work in the past game with Recreativo.

The surprising recoveries of right winger Bruno Gama and striker Lassad Nouioui are very good news, especially the case of the Tunisian attacker as Riki was left as the only available striker for the visit to Hércules after the most recent relapse of <Xisco. In any case, it isn’t expected that any of these two men will be starters, though they have big options to be on the bench for the visit to the Rico Pérez.

One of the main doubts is to see what will happen at the right-back position; Laure is suspended and Manuel Pablo finally has the medical okay, but his lack of pace could open the door to Diego Seoane. More doubts appear on the left sector as Claudio Morel could end getting the starting spot before Ayoze Diaz, this after the great game of the Paraguayan in Huelva.

By Thursday only Xisco was training apart as he is working in his recovery process, while Rodolfo Bodipo is already in La Coruña after returning from Africa, but he’s also out of the clash in Huelva due to an ankle sprain. So, Oltra has 22 men available for Sunday’s game, which means that he will have to discard four players before the trip. The doubts will be cleared on Saturday, day in which the coach will release the list for the clash.
