Oltra is pending on the situation of Guardado, who didn’t end Wednesday’s training, while he has three confirmed casualties due to injury reasons. Barcelona B will arrive to the Riazor pending on the players that could be pulled up to the first team.

On Wednesday, Andrés Guardado didn’t end the training session, at the beginning it was reported as a hamstring problem, but further scans determined that it was a grade-one muscle injury on his right thigh. The club reports that his participation in the meeting with Barcelona B (Riazor, Saturday, 18h00 CET) is uncertain.

It would be an important casualty for Deportivo as the ex-Atlas man is one of the two Pichichis at the team, besides to be the main threat in attack. The winger had hamstring problems in past seasons, but on this year he has been fine, actually this is his first reported injury. He has played the last ten matches in liga and has only missed games as he was picked by Mexico for the international matches.

For now there are three confirmed casualties for Saturday; the first is striker Xisco, who has been training apart during this week; he sustained and adductor problem in the match with RC Recreativo and should return until March. The second casualty is Rodolfo Bodipo, the striker drags a Plantar Fascia Strain (heel) from his participation in the African Cup and will be out for a couple of weeks.

The third casualty is captain Manuel Pablo, the Canarian side defender was close to return on the past week, even Oltra declared him fit enough to play before Hércules FC, but on Monday the veteran didn’t end the training and the scans confirmed that he sustained a grade-one muscle injury on his right thigh (Soleus muscle); now he will be out for at least one week.

The good news are that Lassad and Daniel Aranzubia will be available for the meeting with Barca B; the Tunisian striker wasn’t picked for the match with Hércules CF as the doctors detected that his Soleus injury wasn’t heal, but he joined the trainings on Wednesday and should be ready for Saturday.

Aranzubia didn’t train on Monday and just completed part of the session on Wednesday, this since he’s dragging a back problem from the game played at the Rico Pérez stadium. Doctors say that it’s a small problem and that he should be fine on Saturday. Finally, to remember that right-back Laureano Sanabria ´Laure’ is returning from suspension.

At Barcelona B, coach Eusebio Sacristán is having the casualty of midfielder Ilie Sánchez, who has been out the whole season due to an Achilles injury, while Portuguese winger Luis Gustavo Ledes is doubtful with a muscular problem. Midfielder Carlos Carmona should be available after been out for one month due to a hamstring problem.

But the main worry is related to the fact that the first team of Barcelona has been stroke by several injury cases, reason why at least two B squad members are usually picked by Josep Guardiola for the official meetings. Actually, striker Isaac Cuenca just played six games on the Segunda season and later he was promoted on a permanent basis to the first team, same thing happened a few weeks ago to Mexican midfielder Jonathan Dos Santos.

On the past weekend Guardiola picked midfielder Sergi Roberto and striker Cristian Tello for the liga match with Osasuna, and both were also picked for the Champions League clash at TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen. On Sunday Barca’s first team has an important meeting with Valencia CF and Guardiola will probably pick a couple of players from the reserves. But Gerard Deulofeu should be available to play at the Riazor, the French is becoming into the start of the B team and is coming after scoring a brace before FC Cartagena.
