Oltra only has two confirmed casualties, but at the same time he has several doubts as four players are dragging physical problems. The main doubt is Morel, who has been a starter within the last three liga matches.

Claudio Morel is the big doubt for Saturday’s meeting at CE Sabadell (Nova Creu Alta, 18h00 CET); the Paraguayan left-back defender  has been a starter within the last three liga meetings and was beginning to gain the confidence of Oltra, but he didn’t end the training on Tuesday, while on Wednesday he was off. The latest scans didn’t detect any further and the player will make tests on Thursday and Friday in order to see if he is ready to play.

Curiously, the agent of the defender, Gustavo Vernett, was at Abegondo on Wednesday; he talked to reporters and said that the player is happy at the team and that will love to sign an extension of contract, ”I haven’t talked to the people from the club and will try to arrange a meeting with the president. Claudio has found a spot at Depor and his family is content on here. Our idea is to renew for two more years, but we will see; Depor is just one more option, but we don’t have any other concrete offer.”

It means a great opportunity for Ayoze Diaz in order to regain the spot at the left side of the defense, the Canarian wasn’t even picked for the last match against Barcelona B. Another player with problems during the week was right winger Pablo Álvarez, who sustained a muscular problem on Tuesday and it isn’t know yet if he will be fit for Saturday. The Shark will pass new scans today and the results will determine if he will be available for Saturday.

Meanwhile, striker Lassad Nouioui has been training at the same pace that the rest of the squad after been a last-minute casualty before the match with Barca B; the latest scans determined that the Tunisian attacker sustained a muscle contracture on his right thigh (Soleus muscle), but it seems that he will be available for the meeting with Sabadell.

Striker Xisco is also training with the rest of the team after his most recent muscular problem and could also have an option on Saturday; therefore for the moment the only two confirmed casualties for the match are right-back Manuel Pablo (Soleus) and attacker Rodolfo Bodipo (heel). Oltra will clarify the doubts on Friday, day in which he will release the list of picked players for the trip to Catalonia.

At Sabadell, coach Lluis Carreras has had big injury problems throughout the season, in some matches he barely had 18 men to complete the list of picked players, but for the meeting with Deportivo he is only having two casualties: midfielder Adolfo Miranda ‘Fito’ and striker Eneko Fernandez (both knee ligaments).

The duo will probably miss the rest of the season; meanwhile defender Agustín Javier Fernández and former Depor keeper Ian Mackay are available since some weeks ago after been out for a while due to a knee problem. Sabadell has had an irregular performance on this season; the Catalans are currently 13th at the standings, though they have a comfortable nine-point gap with the relegation zone.
