THINKING OF REAL MURCIA

06 Apr 2012
Oltra has three casualties for Sunday’s match at the Riazor, two of them are located at the defensive line, but Guardado and Xisco are fit to play. Murcia is dealing with several problems due to the injuries and suspensions.

Deportivo returns into competition after the defeat at Girona FC (0-1), the Galicians haven’t lost two straight games on this liga season and want to remain the same as on Sunday they host Real Murcia at the Riazor (12h00 CET).

For the meeting coach José Luis Oltra is having three casualties; two of them are located at the defense and are caused by suspension. Central defender Diego Colotto was sent off on Saturday and is missing this match, while left-back Claudio Morel picked his fifth yellow card of the season as he was booked after the final whistle.

The Paraguayan defender is also dragging muscular problems and is taking advantage of the suspension in order to rest. The third casualty for the match at the Riazor is centre midfielder Jesús Vázquez, who is already out for the rest of the season due to a fibula fracture.

Striker Xisco and left winger Andrés Guardado were dragging muscular problems from the past match before Girona CF; they skipped the training on Monday and just completed part of the session on Wednesday, but by Thursday both men were already working at the same pace than the rest, so they are available for the coach.

Even striker Rodolfo Bodipo is available for Oltra; the Equatoguinean has been off since January due to heel injury suffered during the African Cup. He joined the trainings on the past week and is currently working without any problem, so for the first time since matchday 02, Oltra has his four strikers available for a liga meeting, something that didn’t happen before due to the continuous injuries of Riki and Xisco.

Another good news is that centre midfielder Juan Dominguez is returning from suspension; the former Fabril player has been a starter since the derby before RC Celta and missed the clash before Girona FC after picking his fifth yellow card of the season.

At Real Murcia, the team arrives to the Riazor relieved after breaking a negative streak of four straight defeats, the success had a special taste as it was achieved before FC Cartagena in the Murcian derby, a result that left the nemesis sunk at the last place of the standings.

But the joy is turning into concern; the Murcians haven’t achieved yet the permanence yet and are now having multiple problems ahead of the visit to the Riazor. They could end up facing the meeting with eight casualties, for now five men are already discarded for the game. Left-back Óscar Sánchez and centre midfielder Pedro Sánchez are out suspended.

Also, defender Rubén Párraga (meniscus), centre midfielder Juan Aguilera (stress fracture) and striker Kike Garcia (ankle) are out injured. Meanwhile, there are three players in doubt. Captain Ricardo Pérez 'Richi' has been dragging a muscular problem for the past three weeks; it was expected that the centre midfielder was going to be available for Sunday, but until today he has been unable to train normally.

To make things worse two players got injured during Wednesday’s training session, the first is striker Cristian Garcia, who got a knock in the ankle; the other is centre midfielder Francisco Sutil, who’s dragging muscular problems since past weeks. Still, both men aren’t discarded yet to face Depor, Cristian is a vital piece in the puzzle of coach Ińaki Alonso as he has scored six goals on the season.
