For the first time on this season two players are sharing the player of the month award; it was a month in which no one dominated, actually both Juan Dominguez and Valerón never earned a MOM in March.

March was an interesting month, a period in which Deportivo clinched three victories suffering only one loss; the fact is that the Peña members of RCDLC.com had different favourite players during the matches, just to realize that there were twelve different men adding points during March, a number never seen in past months.

This behavior explains two situations: the first is that for the first time on the season two different players, Juan Carlos Valerón and Juan Dominguez, are sharing the first place in one month. The second is that none of these players earned a Man Of the Match Award (MOM) in the period. The Canarian playmaker was the second most voted player in two of the four matches played in March, both rated with a note of 2, while the Galician midfielder ended third in the match before Alcorcón and second in the meeting with Alcoyano, with the difference that this last match was rated with a note of 3, which meant more points for him.

It was a very close voting, because centre midfielder Álex Bergantiños and left winger Andrés Guardado just picked one less point than them, while goalkeeper Daniel Aranzubia and left winger Diogo Salomão added seven points in the period.  Álex was the only player that appeared three times in the top-three list.

This is the second Player Of the Month Award (POM) for Juan Dominguez, and his second straight one after doing it in February, a clear sign that the peña members are starting to look at him as a reference for Oltra’s team.

More shocking is the fact that this is just the second POM for Valerón after four seasons with the award; the previous one for the Canarian playmaker was in May of the past season, just the month in which Deportivo suffered the relegation to Segunda, now he´s lighting the way back to Primera División.
