There are no major casualties at both teams ahead of the Galician derby; Oltra is only missing Jesús Vázquez and Aythami, this last player picked a muscular injury on Thursday’s training session.

Things have been quiet at Abegondo during the week and before the derby at Balaídos (Sunday, 12h00 CET), all the players were working at the top and without any problem; however on Thursday central defender Aythami Artiles picked a muscular injury on his left leg. He will pass new scans today, but doctors are convinced that he will be unavailable for the derby.

But at the same time coach José Luis Oltra is recovering Diego Colotto and also Claudio Morel, defenders that missed the clash before Real Murcia due to suspension, so the Valencian trainer is able to present the normal lineup that he has used throughout the second round, with ex-Fabril David Rochela covering a spot on the bench.

Deportivo has had problems at defense in three of the last four matches, this caused for the suspensions, but for the derby there are no suspensions, so the only absentees are caused by injury reasons, the mentioned case of Aythami is joined by centre midfielder Jesús Vázquez, who is out for the rest of the season due to a fibula fracture.

The fans are starting to feel the environment of the derby; on Thursday a group of fans put a banner at Abegondo with the phrase "Gañade por nós" [win for us]. The team will continue to train at Abegondo until Saturday, then the group will travel one day before the game to Pontevedra, though in this opportunity the club won’t inform of the details of the trip for security reasons.

At RC Celta, coach Paco Herrera is having one important casualty for the derby; is central defender Jonathan Vila, who is out for another three weeks after picking a knee injury in the home meeting before Villarreal B. The Galician player is considered as an important piece at defense, though on this season he has only played 15 matches.

There are no more injury cases at the team, and Herrera is also recovering Chilean Fabián Orellana, who scored the goal in the derby played at the Riazor, and also centre midfielder Álex López, this duo was suspended for the clash before FC Cartagena.
