COLOTTO’S AGENT IN A CORUÑA

18 Apr 2012
The agent of Diego Colotto is in La Coruña; he already had a meeting with Ernesto Bello trying to negotiate the renewal of the Argentine defender. He admitted to reporters that the player has received offers coming from other clubs.

Diego Colotto has been an important piece at Depor’s defense within the last three seasons; he ends his contract with the club in June and his renewal is doubtful. The Argentine central defender has always said that he would love to continue, but neither closes the door to a possible exit. On Monday he told to Radio Marca that, “The issue of my renewal is something for my agent. I’m feeling comfortable on here, but there are more offers. For now I’m only thinking of the promotion.”

On Monday the first team trained at Abegondo after the Galician derby, but the main news were outside the training pitch, because the agent of Colotto, Pascual Lezcano, was there as later he was going to have a meeting with the club’s officials.

Lezcano talked to Radio Marca and Cadena Cope and explained the status of the player; he said that, “There are other situations for the players, he has completed three excellent seasons on here, so there is interest coming from other clubs, though at this day I can’t tell you anything else.”

“We gave our word to Depor that we were going to wait and we´ve fulfilled our promise, and I can’t tell you much more about the subject, because it would be to disrespect the other side involved in this subject, and the intention is to manage properly the case, no matter the direction of this situation.” He added.

On Tuesday it was known that Lezcano already had a meeting with the sporting director of Deportivo, Ernesto Bello. Colotto isn’t the only player that Depor is trying to renew, the club already presented three offers to Lassad Nouioui and a meeting with the agent of Andrés Guardado is scheduled for the coming weeks, though the Mexican winger already hinted that he’s leaving.
