GUARDADO TALKS AGAIN

25 Apr 2012
Andrés Guardado talked again regarding his future, this time he did it in an interview with a Mexican TV network; he explained again the reasons why he is leaving and his memories of Deportivo.

Second interview of Andrés Guardado within the last month; this time the left winger talked to Mexican network TDN (Televisa Deportes Network); he explained why he wants to leave Depor, “You dream of playing in Europe, of playing the Champions League, something I haven’t lived yet, and obviously the names of the clubs are there. You have your goals and mines are to succeed here in Spain and let’s hope I can do it.”

“They [Depor club’s officials] opened the doors to me in Europe and obviously that love remains there, but I know it’s difficult to continue on here due the circumstances; it isn’t a matter of feelings, but the contract, my aspirations, my personal goals, and obviously it has nothing to do with the team.” He added.

He also denied talking of his possible move to Valencia CF, something that has been anticipated within the last months, “It’s for respect to Depor, for respect to my work; the goal is to achieve the promotion with the team, and I won’t talk to people, and neither to the journalists, because later they made things bigger than what they really are.”

Finally, Guardado was talking of his memories from Deportivo, “All these years with the pressure of seeing Guardado demonstrating why he was signed, if he is really is what they say. Obviously, I prefer to remain with the positive things, like the life in A Coruña, the people, the group, or playing alongside Valerón, which is a lesson in all the aspects.”
