Seven players are dragging physical problems ahead of the important clash against Real Valladolid, while other two men are suspended. Oltra is once again having limited resources in order to prepare a liga meeting.

It seemed that the injuries were just a spark at the beginning of the season for Deportivo, but lately it’s a problem hitting hard the Galician team. For the past match at Girona CF, Oltra had some casualties that forced him to pick Juan Carlos from Depor B, and now the problems are bigger as up to nine men could end up missing the next game, which by the way is extremely important as second place Real Valladolid visits the Riazor.

With Jesús Vázquez (fibula fracture) out for the rest of the season, Depor had to face the past match at UD Almeria with the casualties of central defenders Aythami Artiles (thigh), Ze Castro (ankle sprain), plus striker Riki (thigh) and left winger Andrés Guardado (hamstring). The team returns to train today and it isn’t know yet if any of these four players will be available for the match at the Riazor.

And the game against UD Almeria left more casualties at Depor’s squad; central defender Diego Colotto was sent off, while right winger Bruno Gama picked his fifth yellow card of the season, reason both men are suspended.

To make things worse left winger Diogo Salomăo and keeper Daniel Aranzubia ended the match facing some physical problems. The scans determined that the Portuguese man sustained a tear in the Obturator internus muscle (pubis), reason why he’s out of the meeting, while the keeper is doubtful due to an Achilles injury on his right foot.

It’s too soon to know the exact number of players that Oltra will have available for the match against Real Valladolid, but surely it will be shorter than the one had in recent matches. Still, the Valencian trainer hopes to recover some men before the weekend.
