Oltra has six confirmed casualties for Sunday’s game, while he’s pending on the condition of Aranzubia; in the end the coach may end with only 18 players available to face Valladolid. Meanwhile, the rival arrives without important casualties.

On Sunday, Deportivo faces a crucial meeting in the race for promotion hosting Real Valladolid at the Riazor (20h00 CET), and coach José Luis Oltra is having important casualties for the game, because up to seven men could miss the clash due to the injuries and suspensions.

There are already six confirmed casualties; the first one is centre midfielder Jesús Vázquez (fibula fracture), who is out for the rest of the season; then striker Riki (muscular); the team returned to train on Wednesday and the Madrilenian attacker worked for 30 minutes with the group, so he won’t be ready for this game and should be back in two weeks.

Central defender Aythami Artiles was another player that just trained for 30 minutes with the group; the Canarian is dragging a grade-one muscle injury since the derby with RC Celta. He was expected to return on these days, but the fact is that he won’t be available for Sunday.

The fourth casualty due to injury reasons is left winger Diogo Salomão; the Portuguese sustained a tear in the Obturator internus muscle (pubis) during the past match at UD Almeria and on Wednesday he was training apart from the group.

Depor has other two casualties caused by the suspensions: central defender Diego Colotto and right winger Bruno Gama. The Argentine was sent off on Saturday, and the Portuguese picked his fifth yellow card of the season in the defeat against UD Almeria.

Finally, the case of Daniel Aranzubia; the keeper picked an Achilles injury on his right foot during the meeting at Estadio de Los Juegos Mediterráneos and is doubtful for the match against Real Valladolid. He was training apart on Wednesday, though the doctors think that he has a slight chance to be available for Sunday. Therefore, if the casualty of Aranzubia is finally confirmed, then Oltra will only have eighteen men available for the clash.

The only good news are that left winger Andrés Guardado (hamstring) and central defender Ze Castro (ankle sprain), duo that missed the past game against UD Almeria, but by Wednesday they were already training alongside the rest of players.

Meanwhile, Real Valladolid arrives to the Riazor living its best moment on the season, with six straight victories in the competition and without important casualties at the squad. Coach Miroslav Djukic is only missing midfielder Fernando Varela, who hasn’t played any game on the season due to a back injury that forced him to pass through the surgery room. Top-scorer Javi Guerra was out of Wednesday’s training due to muscular problem, but the doctors at the club confirmed that he will be available for the meeting against Deportivo.
