The extraordinary season of Deportivo at Segunda División has had a pending subject: the inclusion of Depor B players. On Sunday Oltra will give a chance to Juan Carlos, who already debuted with the first team playing in Copa.

Oltra was honest and pretty clear since the first day; he told to reporters that they shouldn’t expect to see too many Depor B members with the first team throughout the season, and it has been like that as no one from Fabril has played with the first team in the league tournament, the only one with minutes in the first squad is Juan Carlos Real, playmaker that performed in the four Copa clashes disputed on the season.

Keeper Marc Martinez has been training all season long with the first team and later was playing for Depor B. He played four times during the pre-season, but never in an official game, though he was part of the list of picked players for the liga encounters against Real Valladolid, CD Numancia and Las Palmas, this since Aranzubia was injured.

Central defender Pablo Ínsua played twice on the pre-season, same thing that Juvenile A keeper David Gómez, while striker David Cubillas played once and even scored a goal, though he has been released after the disappointing season of Depor B at Tercera División.

Juan Carlos played eight games on the pre-season and now is ready to debut in liga; the playmaker will be the 20 Fabril’s members that debuts with the first team playing in a league competition, this since the foundation of Abegondo in 2003.

The 19 players that passed through Fabril first before debuting in liga are: midfielder Carlos Pita (2004/05), striker Xisco(2004/05), playmaker Iago Iglesias (2005/06), left winger Iván Carril (2005/06), striker Senel (2005/06),  central defender Piscu (2006/07),  striker Rubén Rivera (2006/07), central defender Chapi (2007/08), keeper Fabricio (2007/08), right-back Laure (2007/08), striker David Añon (2009/10), playmaker Iván Pérez (2009/10), keeper Manu (2009/10), right-back Raúl Garcia (2009/10), central defender David Rochela (2009/10), right-back Diego Seoane (2009/10), striker Dioni (2010/11), playmaker Juan Dominguez (2010/11) and centre midfielder Álex Bergantiños (2011/12).

There are a couple of players that didn’t perform in liga, but were part of other official competitions; that’s the case of striker Changui (2004-05) and centre midfielder Dani (2009/10), duo that played in Copa Del Rey; in the case of Changui he even played two games in the UEFA Champions League, plus the weird case of centre back Juanan, who never played in liga and neither in Copa, but took part of three matches in the extinct UEFA Intertoto Cup. Álex Bergantiños is another weird case, this season marked his debut with the first team, despite he’s 25 and having experience at other clubs after been loaned out for three straight seasons.
