CONTROVERSY WITH THE KITS

23 Jun 2012
After the presentation of the new kits, Lotto Sports has faced a strong opposition coming from the fans; the company released a statement assuring that the major part of the fans will end liking the new designs. The complaints continue.
More controversy with the kits presented by Lotto Sports for the season 2012/13; the protests of the fans started after the club unveiled the kits during the past week. A large group of fans didn’t like the new designs and the protest spread the social networks.
The fans are protesting basically because they didn’t like the design of the kits, especially the third, and later because they considered that Lotto designed the uniforms using the same parameters compared to the designs of other clubs like English outfit Queens Park Rangers FC.
Lotto Sports noticed the protest and decided to release a statement supporting the new designs, "When we develop a new kit, something we´ve been doing in our long history for the more important teams in the world including Deportivo La Coruña, we work at the top using the more valuable materials and styles, both from a technical and aesthetic point of view, this in order to interpret the spirit and identity of each team following the orders from the clubs. Experience tells us that the vast majority of fans are later excited about the new shirts of their teams, they increasingly turn their passion and enthusiasm on them." It was the statement published by the company on its Facebook page.
The statement is a clear message that the kits won’t be changed, but it neither changed the fans’ minds, actually it just increased the protests against Lotto. RCDLC.com still receiving the protests from the public. “Can't believe their arrogance” “Experience tells me that fans will love their team no matter how crappy the shirt looks. That's not excitement you detect... It's resignation. Lotto, you suck!” Were some of the messages written in the Facebook page of this website.
